I am trying to set an itinerary for a brewery/bar tour of Brooklyn. So far on the list I have Threes, Finback, Other Half, and Brooklyn. On the bars side possibly barcade, spuyten and torst, but I would prefer to stick with mostly breweries. Any suggestions on tasting rooms that I am missing out on?
Dirck the Norseman is really close to Brooklyn Brewery. Finback is in Queens but you could also do Rockaway, Transmitter, and Big Alice while if you wanted to add some Queens breweries that are close.
Finback is a schlep from all of those, but is fairly close to Big Alice, Transmitter, and Singlecut. Not sure how much time you have, but I'd suggest either a Brooklyn tour (Other Half, Threes, Dirck, Brooklyn, and Keg and Lantern) or a N. Brooklyn and Queens tour (Dirck, Brooklyn, Keg, Finback, Singlecut, Big Alice, Transmitter).
Very cool, thanks for the advice. Google maps is never that reliable when it comes to real world travel times.
And driving in Brooklyn just simply sucks. The BQE is regularly a parking lot and the surface streets are unpredictable. That said, there's only one train that will take you from Brooklyn to Queens, and it sucks too. And Manhattan complains about not having a 2nd Avenue train. Spoiled brats. </rant>
