I didn't see anything similar posted, but if so, feel free to redirect.
Looking for some recommendations for a weekend trip to Brooklyn upcoming.
Staying near the Brooklyn Bridge, but open to many locations - Park Slope, Williamsburg, etc.
Recs for restaurants? Sports bars? Great craft beer spots?
I've been to Croxley's before, and Dinosaur BBQ - good ones that I recall.
Open to hearing anything and everything - thanks in advance.

There are two main areas for breweries, North Brooklyn along the L line where you have OH Domino Park, Talea, Grimm, Interboro, KCBC, and ETNYC. The other is South Brooklyn where you have Other Half, Threes, Finback Brooklyn, Wild East, and Strong Rope. For beer bars there are like too many to list but some of the greatest hits would be like Tørst, Beer Street, St Gambinus, Covenhoven, Bier Wax, Beer Witch, Bar Great Harry, Owl Farm, Gold Star Beer Counter. I'm sure I'm missing some as well.

As for Restaurants I mean there are so many that its kinda hard to recommend without narrowing that down a bit.

What @Feaor said. Those are stellar brewery suggestions and bar suggestions. Food is a little scarce around BB, but if you are in and around Park Slope, there's a lot. Lucali's, Defonte's, Court Street Grocer's, Hometown, Ugly Baby (my personal favorite), F&F pizza.

Williamsburg is even harder to choose from, but my favorite restaurant in the city is Four Horsemen (they have a stellar winelist and used to have a michelin star). Also think L'industrie and Federoff's are worthy considering it's a short trip. You can also stop by Beer Street and hit Anthony & Sons for a sandwich. Enjoy your trip!

There is also an Evil Twin taproom in DUMBO now, so if you are staying by the Brooklyn Bridge that should be right near your hotel. They often have Root+Branch on tap there too.

    Thanks all!
To further narrow down options - food would be mostly casual, more geared to guys watching sports on TV. I've been to Convivium Osteria in Park Slope and love it, but that's not the type of place we're going. That's why Dinosaur BBQ was a good option - good food and can watch NFL playoffs or college basketball. Same with Croxley's - great beer and TVs.

Reviving this thread for some quick recs needed!!
Having a group of about 25 ppl and plan to brew hop thru Brooklyn. From the above post I think we would be around S Brooklyn area and would also have a bus for transport between places. Currently plan for Other Half, Threes, and Finback. Wondering if any other breweries near by that are NEIPA/hop forward?

What are your bottle shop recommendations in Brooklyn?

Lol, can’t get much hop forward than OH and Finback (and to a lesser extent, Threes). Go to Wild East and get some lagers.

-side note: really sucks Mission Dolores isn’t open anymore. That could have scratched that itch plus, they usually had Suarez or something of that ilk plus it was just a flat-out good bar.

St. Gambrinus in Flatbush is good. I’m sure there are people more local than me that could recommend more. I look at BK as more of a brewery borough than a shop borough. beermenus.com should be helpful too.

Thanks for the replies so far! Reasons why I enjoy BA so much. Since we do have a bus, is there a brewery “within striking distance” that we shouldn’t miss?

Three’s, Finback BK, Wild East and Strong Rope are all right near each other. Easy walking distance. Other Half Centre St. is about 1 mile from there.

The other Strong Rope location in Red Hook is a very nice facility with great views of the Statue of Liberty. It’s right by Hometown BBQ which is great as well as Keg & Lantern Brewery / Brewpub.

If you did the south BK breweries first you could bus to Williamsburg or Greenpoint and hit the breweries and bars there. Those are the two areas that have the most volume of places close to each other.

I think you’re in the best area in BK although Grimm would be nice. Good luck parking that bus though, you’re better off walking, no bullshit.

If you want to check out some beer bars you could hit a mix of Beer St. South, Bierwax, Gold Star Beer Counter and Covenhoven. All what I consider walking distance from each other.
Beer St and Bierwax are super close.

If you hit Three’s and Finback, definitely go to Wild East. It would be my first choice out of those three. They have a great variety of styles but will definitely have some great NEIPAs as you mentioned.

I forgot Mekelburg’s if you are in Williamsburg. It’s right by Other Half Domino Park. Great place to grab food and beer. They also have a good retail beer selection.
