Just picked up a bottle of this locally. Didn't have much of it. Looking around online, not a ton about it. Worth drinking now, or aging it up a bit? It's bottled with brett, so not fermented with brett it appears. Also- price check? I paid $9.99 for the 750ml. Seems that was really cheap?
$9.99 is crazy cheap for it. $24 by me. It's super bourbon forward right now, so if you like that I'd drink it now. I'm sure with time it'll meld together and mature with the other flavors over time.
$10.99 here in Athens. I've considered it but haven't pulled the trigger yet. We've got a ton on the shelves here.
I didn't pick any up due to the 20+ price tag. I'm amazed that you guys are seeing it for more than half the price that we are up north.
Thanks for the feedback on the beer. I do like bourbon forward, but I kind of want it to be a bit funky too.. Was curious if they held them back for a while to let the brett do some work before the release of bottles. Thats really odd that the price difference is so far around the map. I had my wife pick some up while she was out, she knows nothing about beer at all, and I fully expected this to be like Black Ops, and be around $17-20 a bottle. Might see how much is left at the store and grab another at that price, and drink one now. Thanks guys.
Holy crap, it was $28 near me. The bottle shop I'm talking about normally has very reasonable prices. Anyone in the mid atlantic see it for less than $15?
Sad part that it's priced $30.00 at the Brooklyn Company Store at the brewery. It was $20.00 for an extra bottle after sold out tickets at the release party at the brewery. You got a steal for $9.99. Buy more, drink one and age the rest.
So obviously a price mistake.. If thats the case, then I won't go buy more. Karma was good enough allow me to have one at this price. Thanks!
