So saisons are good and all but it's by no means my favorite style. One of my favorite BA traders is sending me these two beers and told me they'd be good to try and snag some wants. Before I beclowned myself on the trading forum, I thought I'd solicit advice from y'all on what caliber beers these are worth to a saison lover in a trade. I understand that "they're worth whatever someone wants to give for them," but give me some reference. I've searched past posts and there's not a lot out there. Double/Triple Sunshine (s)? What caliber stouts? Cheers, Allen
Le Sarrasin is pretty limited; I'd imagine you could snag something quite good in the stout realm for that bottle. Brother Soigné is desirable but has been released before (and is 1/3 the price of Le Sarrasin), but HF never hurts a trade. What are you looking for? Also, have you ever had a HF saison?
Thanks for the reply. I've never had a HF saison; are you saying I should just drink them? I'm partial to good IPAs/IIPas and stouts, and always like to trade for ones that I've never had before. Double Sunshine comes to mind, but I'm open to anything. How hard is it to get someone to come off of those? Allen
If there was ever a time to starting drinking / liking saisons it would be when you have two world class ones in your hands. Pretty sure Brother Soigne is the #1 rated saison on another site and Le Sarrasin has already gotten high praise from many Vermonters and HF loyalists as being one of the best Saisons Hill has ever released. Do the right thing.
