3 Fonteinen, also known as Drie Fonteinen, is a Lambic brewery in Beersel, just outside out Brussels. Please use this thread to discuss their beers and bottle availability at the brewery and to go. 3 Fonteinen is a lambic brewery and blendery located in Beersel, and Lot Belgium. As of 2019, Armand Debelder is officially retired from the brewery and no longer holds a financial stake. 3 Fonteinen is currently headed by Werner Van Obberghen and Micahël Blanquaert, after a nearly 5 year transition. Previously Armand took over the brewing and blending operations of the business from his father Gaston. There is also a cafe attached to the original brewery in Beersel, which is overseen by Armand's brother Guido and nephew Thomas, though it is considered a completely separate entity. In addition to lambics, 3 Fonteinen also produces several other non-lambic beers including a blonde, lager, and porter. Some fun new bottles launching this week from 3F: For this first release of 2021 we have selected 3 new packs that are available this Thursdayin limited quantities. For the first time ever we will release a Plum lambik. For the Plum Pack we have selected three different blends, all made with Belgian plums. About 60 years ago, there were more than 200 plum varieties being grown in Belgium, now almost extinct. Our ambition is to revive and experiment with such old local varieties and have them grown again with local farmers and enthusiasts. This pack also features an Oude Geuze and a Cuvée Armand & Gaston that have undergone a bottle conditioning of respectively 14 and 20 months. Also for the first time ever, we have bottled anOude Kriek and an Hommage on magnum bottles. Together with an Oude Geuze Cuvée Armand & Gaston – we have combined these in the Geuze & Fruit Magnum Pack. This is the only magnum of Oude Kriek and Hommage that we are going to release in the next two years. For the Cuvée Armand & Gaston fans, we have also added the Cuvée Armand & Gaston Magnum Pack, consisting of three bottles of our Oude Geuze. Excellent for extended cellar ageing! We are also glad to announce that the Geuze tumbler glasses are back in stock. 1. If the answer isn't some variant on "locally-developed heritage plum varieties replaced by widespread commercially-grown ones" and/or "plum trees torn out and replaced by other, more profitable crops", I'd be very surprised.
Does anyone actually care about Hommage anymore? i personally could do without it and rather see them throw an extra OG or A&G in the pack.
There weren't as many packs as some other releases. I checked out really quick right when they went live and checked the inventory right after, there were only around 200 packs left.
I ordered from them for the first time. I got the Plum pack along with the hint of Jerez II pack. Anyone know if Etre Gourmet can get 6 magnums in a box? I’m looking forward to them. I’ve only had A&G, OG and Kriek.
Do they post the bundles on social media? Is anyone willing to post upcoming sales here for those of us that don't use the proper apps?
They're actually quite nice email newsletters, well done, I enjoy reading even when I'm not that likely to buy. Actually, it makes me slightly likelier to buy. OK, they've roped me in once or twice...
