I'm seeing label approval for the full lineup. Anyone have distribution details?

It's Dallas-only right now as far as I've heard.

It's called the "Ballast Point" style of distribution. Alienate all but one market in the state including the largest tactic. Seems smart. lol

Great. These are the guys with options on the B United catalog. There's a whole raft of good beers they could do this with; stuff that will be selling primarily to us -the impatient, fickle and bellicose denizens of BA! Given the damage this approach has done to the reputation of other distributers in the past, you'd think they would know better.

BTW my apologies if y'all would prefer this posted in the TABC thread. I haven't been on in a while and figured that thread died whenever the administrators killed the individual brewery threads.

Texas is large enough it's not always easy to bring in enough beer to distribute into each metropolitan area at the same time. Dallas has a lot of people but not a lot of established breweries. That makes it a good first step into the state for a distributor.

If quantity is an issue, going into a market that doesn't have a lot of established breweries isn't a good idea as it would likely consume the product faster.

    Just saying.

Nope. B. United is going through Favorite Brands. Boon is Ben E. Keith, I'm fairly sure.

Correct. It's BEK. So is Rodenbach, BTW... which used the same exact strategy of launching in Dallas first followed by the rest of Texas.

Oh snap. And now Rodenbach sits on the shelves for cheap and is always available and delicious. Maybe the same will happen with Boon! Imagine drinking Boon whenever you want!

Ah damn. Posted too quickly. :slight_frown:

What we have now isn't anything to get bent out of shape about but when those Mariage Parfaits drop oh my god...atleast you Austin dudes have Southern Tier right now and we don't.

I don't know about current availability but Lonestar, Halls, and Choice Beverage definitely carry it. S&K and Mr Gs might have it as well, but I haven't been to either in a long while.

I haven't seen it at the other Plano area Specs, Whole Foods, or Central Market.

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm curious, does Boon sit on shelves in DFW? Can you easily obtain Gueuze, Kriek, Mariage Parfait, etc? Since I've heard no talk about any expansion beyond DFW, I was just wondering how the distro in DFW itself is going.
