I just had a quick pour but I'd say a littler lighter, less "juicy" but the Mosaic note was really nice. Didn't note any bitterness and was super easy to drink. I'll crack open my four pack tonight though for a better idea.

 

Also had a quick pour from a can. Cool label. Another good beer from BW.

 

Sorry Im a little late on this PoW WoW thing. Is this still available at the brewery? Or just pick up some Picnic Lightning cans at my local? May just head to the tasting room today. Haven't been yet. Might be a good day to go.

As of last night yes, the recipe is the same but I was told that they brought in other brewers to blend this batch, as I posted earlier IMO it was more tropical juicy and a bit softer. Hope they do it again.

Sunset Beer had a ton of Super Collider on Friday and it's tasting incredible. I don't think I've had one from these guys that I haven't liked yet.

 

So I recently traded for some Julius, Haze and Doppelganger.

I prefer Picnic Lightning and Dig My Earth to all of those Tree House beers. Maybe my expectations were too high but boy was it a letdown to try 3 beers that all score a perfect 100 on BA and none be as "juicy" as a beer that scores an 87.

I know, I know, I shouldn't pay attention to ratings but jeebus. Maybe I just have a shitty palate.

 

How old were the TH cans Jesse? I haven't traded in 2 years now. So last time I had any TH or east coast cans has been awhile? Last Trillium stuff was back in Oct when we flew to the source to bring back. And they were all excellent and fresh.

 

9-14 days.

I'm going to do a blind Julius/Picnic test tonight.

 

I'd have to disagree - maybe we all have different tastebuds. But any TH beers have blown all of the BW beers out of the water. I was not a fan of Dig My Earth. Picnic Lightning was great, but Supercollider was even better. Just doesn't stand up to TH for me. To each their own.
