Brown Hops

    So a friend of mine gave me a big ole Chinook bine loaded with brown hops. They smell very good and are very sticky. Would you still use them for flavor and aroma? Thanks.

    No, but I might use them for bittering (@~14%AA)...I have a bine of Chinook that I harvested from already that probably looks quite similar...brown, not yellow or green...they are over the hill and did not dry properly amongst the spider mites.

    Thanks Mr Krusty. That makes sense. I plan to brew a brown IPA anyway so no worries.
