The debtor said it would not have sufficient assets to pay unsecured creditors. The company did not state a reason for filing for bankruptcy. Brüeprint was established in April 2014, brewing beers with unique names, including Pale Brüe Eyes, Brüenette, Brüe Scarlet Amber Ale, Edinbrüe Scotch Ale, and Midnight Brüe. The brewer's beer on tap was available at various North Carolina restaurants, and its canned beers could be found at various bottle shops and grocery stores, including Whole Foods, Total Wine & More, Wegmans, Fresh Market, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Lowe's Food, and Weaver Street Market. https://www.thestreet.com/retail/another-popular-brewery-files-chapter-7-bankruptcy-to-liquidate
I guess that I am not super surprised by this announcement - used to see their beers at most of the local places around me in NC at least in package, occasionally draft. Have not seen their beers here in the Triad region of NC in the last couple of years. I remember them as being solid but not outstanding and NC is a crowded beer market with lots of breweries.
I liked most of their beers back in the 2010s until they disappeared from the shelves. I started to see them again over the last couple of years but after they closed the Cary taproom last year they started to disappear again. Even though they said they had plans to move elsewhere I figured they were never reopening. And then there was a reddit post a couple months ago that said the owner had left the beer industry last year so I assumed they were already permanently closed. RIP to another one.
