Agreed. 09 was awesome, 10 and 11 were awful.

I'd be down for a Brandy Papier though, I'm sure it's doing fine. I opened the regular 75/25 a few months back and loved it. I'd assume the Brandy barrel is still quite hot and tasty. And probably would sell for $400 too.

talked to Matt during the wax your own bottle event regarding partridge (not the BA version), but he pretty much hinted that it's either only gonna be a charity event thing or saved for their final Christmas event. Which makes sense, I'm still gonna try to catch them all.

Stopped at Mr. K's to grab an Avery sour and now sipping on SitR/w Peaches and Grey Monday waiting for Filmishmish to show up at pick up.

Which Avery? The Tectum is badass, wasn't as impressed with the Insula (or the shelf Raspberry sour).

Finishing the raspberry sour and moving on to Filmishmish next.

The Raspberry sour was pretty decent for the $12.99/22oz price tag. Nothing blow you away, but I wish it was a year round at that price.

Uh, it's in the car. The cherry one. He had all 3 but at $15per I took a guess on one of them, cherries seemed safe.

Yeah, it's solid but a little barrel heavy. It was a hit at the last share I went to along with the Tectum, too. Both are much much better than the Raspberry.

Just wanted to add a bit more context here... Considering the minuscule stock we currently have of Partridge, I highly doubt we'll be releasing/selling bottles to go in the same manner that we do other archive releases. If I remember correctly, the last time we did this, we sold the beer at a much higher price point that we normally would and donated the sales to charity. Personally, I think that when 12 Drummers Drumming comes out, we'd want to utilize the beer in a way that allows a lot of people to celebrate with us and taste the full vertical.

But, we're talking about something that's going to happen 5 years from now. I for one have no idea what things will look like in Bruery-land or the rest of the beer world at that time. In the meantime, we'll continue archiving releases and thinking about the best way to celebrate the end of the series as 2020 approaches. Luckily we've got some time .

We are looking into this right now but I don't have anything to share quite yet. I'll share an update when I find out more.

    Cheers,
    Matt Olesh

I cracked a 9/8/14 bottle of Mash & Grind from the archive sale earlier this year. Definitely something going on there that I think is not intended, which is unfortunate since this is one of my favorites. Not a tartness run wild but it is there.

Alright alright, consider my curiosity piqued.... just put one (of many) in the fridge myself.

In your case since you're saying not too tart could it be green pepper flavors that people get after aging lighter roasted coffee beers?

In any case my side by side by side is going to be a little interesting, I just checked, though, and mine's dated 10/27/14.

Hmm, I dont think so. The coffee flavor is actually still quite prominent/clean and on par with what I remember from having it from 2013.

Does anyone know how to check what they have in the tasting room for society members online? I can't seem to find anything but the emails that go out on Thursday. I am curious if they still have Grey Monday on tap.

Just go to thebruery.com and click on what's on tap.

It doesn't seem to have the RS/HS only beers listed was my point. Unless I am wrong?

Didn't see that part. You only get that on the TR email on Thursdays.

Fwiw, they had Grey Monday on tap yesterday (Monday). I would bet that it's still on tap, but maybe somebody who was there today can confirm.
