Out of curiosity, why do you guys refer to it as "copperversary" mugs when it is stainless steel? It leads people to believe it's made out of at least a little copper...

Have you been following the Bruery Anniversary beers since, um, inception?

Copperversary because of their 7th year as a brewery. I would also imagine that making a mug completely out of copper would be way too expensive. Yes, copper is much more expensive than stainless steel for those of you who wouldn't know.

Actually, no, just, got, into, it, this, year, so, um, thanks? Not to sound like a tool but if I see a mug that is typically made of copper or has some copper in it, priced the same as a copper mug, and the mug is for the "copperversary" then it would lead me to assume that there is copper in it. Dunno, that's just me coming from an outsider who doesn't follow The Bruery's every steps.

ah, got it. Thanks for the explanation.

The Buery learned their lesson early on when they sold paper and cotton mugs.

Hey now, I thought those were a worthy sacrifice for the amazing Leather Mug we all got.

Batch one isn't really the first beer they did right? It's just the first home brew winner.

"The first ever batch brewed by The Bruery, Batch No. 1 is the result of a homebrew contest we held in order to determine our first batch. Loren Miraglia and Mark Graham entered a fantastic Belgian-style Golden Strong Ale that captured the judges attention. Batch No. 1 has a pepper-like spiciness and fruit forward flavors of pear and apricot. It is deceptively potent and will continue improving with age."

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the quote? I'm a hs, and my only problem with it is communication. I Gerry the monthly email, but nothing on when the bottles from the membership are available, nor anything like this. Probably just looking in the wrong place...

Check your email on file with them for regular updates. The one you quoted was for anyone who purchased mash and grind. I did not order any bottles myself so I did not get the email either.

This, Run BMC and BA PiaPT were some of my highlights from the event. All have continued to develop marvelously in their bottles.

if I recall, Run BMC was one of the hardest to track down because why save a beer like that? everyone was pleasantly surprised that it's still drinkable, let alone pretty damn tasty....
