Isn't Beret going to be a year round beer anyway?

It's supposed to be from what they initially put out. But that circles back to my post a couple pages back about why Jardinier isn't for sale in the store as well despite it being a year-round offering. Seems like they tend to come and go from online availability.

You nailed it. Its all about inventory. If your local, no problem, go to the TR and get some. If your not, it may be more difficult to find it, even if it is "year round".

I've found that they really are top notch and responsive on there when someone tags them, especially @mattolesh - and being a NY RS member, I appreciate that very much!

Am I the only one that thinks Hottenroth with peaches is a butter bomb?

I just remember thinking it was awful. Bought a couple to see if its better out of the bottle.

I didn't get that at all out of a bottle... haven't had it on tap yet.

Sounds like there is some possible bottle variation. I thought it was really solid on tap when I had it, but the bottle I opened was so diacytl heavy. I hope my other bottles are better because the one I opened last night was a drain pour.

i have tried two bottles so far and both were diacetyl bombs. The first one was undrinkable and i ended up drain pouring it, i then had a bottle at a bottle share where it was definitely less pronounced from the first bottle but still was having a hard time finishing a four ounceish pour of it

Opened a bottle of Peach Hottenroth tonight to see how my luck fared, and first bottle was a drainpour. Here's hoping I have a few good bottles among the 5 I bought.

Seems like every variant of Hottenroth has been a mess. Maybe they need to go back to the drawing board on their Berliner.

Here's a quick question. So I thought they moved away from wax, but I noticed m12 is waxed instead of foiled. Was it bottled and wax before that stopped? No inscribed date on it either

It's good stuff, I do taste the slight tartness that was mentioned before, I think it's the white oak sap.

    Needs more hazelnut!

Base Hottenroth is great, but I will not be buying another fruit variant. I should have known after the Mango disaster not to max on Peach.

I wonder if the bruery will look into these complaints and maybe issue refunds... i need to ship beers but I may hold off to see if they pull the peach hottenroth.

There is a whole other thread where Matt explains it. The short answer is $30 and below, will be foil, $31 and higher will be waxed.
