I opened one a month ago. I am quite sensitive to diacetyl and was not able to detect any. The mango pulp really added body to the beer which is atypical for the style. Collectively I enjoyed it even though I dislike mango. However, as it warmed up you could pick out unfavorable attributes such as grassiness, sulfur and a strong wheat presence which are all things I typically dislike in my berliners.

There very well might be bottle variation but I also think their berliner yeast strain needs time to hit its stride and clean things up.

A little perhaps, but not terribly surprising though, just depends on how much of each they made available really.

We need to crowd-fund a guinea pig to pick up and open bottles the week they are available. Pretty bummed I put in an order for peach hottenroth the day before sales closed (Thurs) to hear several negative reports on that Fri/Sat.

I know most that are close to the TR take advantage of draft pours to avoid opening bottles until they have to but someone needs to dive on the grenade and let everyone know of impending disappointments. I usually go there ~1-2x per month but not on a regular schedule. Even if it were something like taking turns with other BAs opening a set of monthly allocations to get the word out, I'd be down.

"On Tuesday, we're tapping what is soon to be a cult classic: Culture Club. It's a limited release sour blond ale made refreshingly tart with the addition of lactobacillus, brettanomyces, peaches and cherries.

Thus far, it has only been available at our Copperversary and Tasting Room in extremely limited amounts. Starting at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, you'll find it in the Tasting Room again. "

A REAL cult classic. You can't just... make a cult classic happen by saying it. (Yes, I understand the use of the beer name in this)

More Sour in the Rye with Pineapple and Coconut please. Much better than Fuzzy Peaches. Though both absolutely tasty.

The reviews for Culture Club are pretty polarizing. Anyone care to share their thoughts on the brew?
