i had it at tasting room on tap a few weeks ago and it was very very lacto forward and had very little fruit characteristics. The fruit combo listed sounds bomb, it just doesn't shine and the beer is just way too acidic. Couldn't drink more than one glass before my heartburn and acid reflux started hurting

I had a Hot Pea about a week and a half ago and it tasted fine... I even had it with two of my friends and we all agreed that it tasted fine. I wonder if I got lucky.

I'll try another one probably tomorrow.

I dug culture club. I do wish the fruit was more forward but I thought the acidity was fine.

I had it at Copperversary - the "Pilot Batch". Looking at my notes ... I have it 4 out of 5 stars, which was one of the lower rated brews that day (there was so much GOOD stuff) ... noted that fruit flavors of peaches and cherries really came up short. So decent but nothing that blew my skirt up like Fundamental Observation, etc.

I just remember going to the Bruery a couple weeks ago, ordering a pour of Kevin's Fuzzy Peaches and a pour of Culture Club and instantly regretting that I did not get another Fuzzy Peaches (or Filmishmish, or Sour in the Rye w/ Peaches) instead. Probably the worst sour from them in recent memory, excluding the Hottenroth variants.

Whoa, I have to say that's a bit harsh. I agree that I would take any of those other sours above Culture Club if I had to pick one but I don't think it was bad. It just needed a little more work to bring it from an ok sour to a great sour.

Hot Pea was great for me, loved it. Glad I maxed.... assuming my other bottles taste the same

+1. Never understood saving a 32oz fill for a week. It's one beer. Open, drink.

So I actually spoke with society desk yesterday and I, like most you, thought the problem was the lids. They actually told me it isn't the lids but the growlers themselves.

This is a conversation I would like to jump in on. The growlers are tough to close and open, compared to the 2 liter ones with a swing top. I just want to have an easy way to get two(or three) small growlers and one large one. Right now we can't, and those things aren't exactly cheap.

@JoshBeerNow did you happen to talk to them about the Hot Pea bottle variation issue? Kind of surprised we haven't heard anything from them yet. Although they may be still conducting research before issuing a statement.

I have not as I actually didn't buy any bottles...and it sounds like I might have dodge a bullet. I'm actually going down there on Sunday and if it hasn't been acknowledged by then I will ask them in person.
