How long can it stay good if I haven't opened the growler. I got some Mash and Grind this past Sunday and I really want to share it with friends on Saturday. Will it be gone by then and just chug it tonight or should I be alright?

I have some Mole Smoking Wood for a couple weeks without opening, slight dip in carb but other than that great.

My Chron 6 lasted over a week, but it isn't that carbed. I just opened my Mash & Grind from Friday and it's perfect.

Have only used my hydroflask once and it did lose carb in the 2 hours it took me to drive to SD from the Bruery. The fill was Mash, which didn't need the carb, but I guess I should have gotten my flask or top replaced.

No train this time, saturday is just a quick up and back trip to grab allocations, a flight, and a midway point for some LA guys that wanted half of my home sour home allocation. I got this beer and bacon festival thing to attend back here in SD and then perhaps head to SD Beerworks anniversary in the evening and then somehow fall asleep and magically sober up for sourfest and bottleshare(s) on sunday. Good weekend coming up.

    Hi, Friends of The Bruery!

The next couple days are packed with releases - we hope you'll stop in to try some of these newly tapped beers some time soon!

    Mocktail Night

Tonight, Thursday, June 25, we'll be kicking off the weekend (prematurely) with a tiki-inspired mocktail called S.O.S. This mocktail is a mix of Trade Winds Tripel, pineapple & coconut simple syrup, lime juice and a little bit of Donns spice mix. The result is a perfect mix of tropical sweet, sour and booze. To kick up the authentic tiki nature of the drink, we had custom tiki glasses made, which we'll be selling as well. Both glasses and S.O.S. will be available at 5:30 p.m. tonight, while supplies last.

    Beret Release

On Friday, we'll continue our recent streak of sour releases with our newest Bruery Terreux release: Beret (pronounce it like the little French hat.) Beret is a full-bodied wheat ale that we began fermenting with a Belgian witbier yeast strain. To finish the fermentation, we added our collection of lactic acid-producing bacteria, intended to slowly sour the ale, bringing out a slight funk and refreshing piquancy. Finally, a small dose of pureed raspberries were added for just a hint of fruity tannins, putting the berry in Beret. The bottle and draft release of Beret in the Tasting Room will begin when we open at noon tomorrow.

    $1 Donation Drive Beers

This month, we've been releasing some of our favorite brews as part of a donation drive for the National Teen Leadership Program; and, this week is no exception. This Friday, we'll be tapping kegs of 2013 Bottleworks XII and 2014 Melange #3 as part of our donation drive, with one dollar from each of those sales going towards this month's non-profit. It's a win-win: you get a great beer and help out a great cause as well.

    Food Trucks

As always, we have a full lineup of food trucks planned for this weekend:

    • Thursday, June 25: Bacon Mania will be visiting. Bacon pairs well with tiki-inspired mocktails.
    • Friday, June 26: the Hobo Pizza Company will be here when we open and Falasophy will take over around 5:30 p.m.
    • Saturday, June 27: The Cut will be here at 5:30 p.m.
    • Sunday, June 28: We'll round out the weekend with the Viking Truck all afternoon.

Maaaan, I wasn't supposed to drink too much today. I guess, I will treat that as my daily fruit & salad calorie intake.

Wow, awesome that 1) they're putting out press releases about it before engaging their members, 2) moving the dates for renewals up, 3) doing another fucking cocktail-inspired beer, and 4) discussing 2015 as though it's nearing its conclusion ("If 2015 was a year of growth and building momentum..."). We're halfway through the year in calendar terms and have seen what, 30% of the projected allocations for the year?

I don't recall exactly when renewals opened last year, but I paid on October 12th so being due by August 30th is moving things way up. 2015 has been better than 2014 so far, but it's not like they've been knocking it out of the park to the point where they should be getting aggressive about renewals. Hopefully June and July increase the pace of releases and give us a clearer picture of whether they'll be able to fulfill their promises.

Isn't that like 2-3 months in advance from last year's renewals?

If so, damn..because we still have a slew of releases slated for the rest of the year. Dropping membership fees and then cash for roughly 5-6 bottles/month is going to be brutal (assuming all those releases are still coming to us).

I've been generally pretty happy with my RS membership so far.

But this does seem like an odd move. Telling "The Full Pint" about bumping up the membership renewals, without giving PS,RS,HS members any notice or explanation?

    1) that is weak but it is pretty difficult to keep details hidden now a days
2)Who cares when renewalls is as long as they give us 4-6 weeks to absorb a punch in the wallet. If they did it in Oct people would cry that they are hurting the Black Tuesday funds for members
3)I really hope they do GHC again, that beer is epic
4)I think last year renewal emails for HS went out around Mid-July. I am always excited to see what madness they are planning for (come on Rum-BA-Mai-Tai-in-the-Rye... I suppose that could hit cocktail beer again too)
