To bad they didn't include two bottles of Melange #12 instead for you HS people. That one turned out quite good.

Working on a M11 bottle at the moment. Our initial response seems to mimic what others have said. Huge anise presence, little date, nearly zero cinnamon. The sweet and sour beer blend is spot on however.

What I remember enjoying about the pilot blend was big (equal) cinnamon/date with a just hint of anise. This was largely due to powdered spice available while using large fruit that day as opposed to whole spices & ample time to meld. The bottle seems to take the beer in the opposite direction. I worried the sheer mass of dates would be an issue and mitigated for $ concerns but am surprised how much anise took over on this one.

The flavors still mesh but I think maybe time in the bottle allowed the bugs to wipe out the date sweetness and bolster the sour profile.

Over all it is a highly unique and successful blend but I think I'd still change things given the opportunity.

Two included in which society? I'm HS and can't recall this being on the inclusive list

Would have been nice for that to be included in the monthly allocation email.

This is probably a dumb question, but since I can't find anything on it I'll go ahead and ask. Can kids go to the Bruery taproom? I assume no, since it appears there isnt a restaurant attached (just food trucks), but figured I'd check. Thanks in advance.

Never taken mine, but I've seen young kids there a few times.

Yes. There isn't much for them to do there but I have taken my son a few times without issues. I would recommend going earlier in the day though, because as it gets busier you'll feel more and more awkward about it.

Thanks. I wouldn't normally bring them, but we are only in town for a few days and in trying to figure a time to make it over there. My best bet might be trying to work it in as Tuesday lunch.

Sounds good. Are the food trucks there all day long?

I don't think so, those are usually just an evening/weekend thing. But they allow you to bring outside food in IIRC.

They have board games there too so you can sip on some beer while playing games with the kids.

You can bring food in. I have brought Chipotle, real mexican, and sandwiches. They are totally cool about outside food. I even forgot a fork once and the guy hooked me up with one from their breakroom.

Then in that case are there any good "to go" food places around The Bruery? I'd prefer to get something local, but it's not a big deal at all.
