I want to follow up and say that I am a hoarder and have had all the bruery sours and many with some age on them. I guess I personally enjoy more balanced / less aggressive sours.

With age bruery sours become lacto sour bombs. To each their own though.

Anyone care to speculate (maybe even confirm…) what the 2 beers that make up Juggling Walruses are? BT or Anniversary and….sour blonde?

As far as aging Bruery beers goes - I'm curious to hear how other people do it too. Personally I only (intentionally) age Rueuze and BT and it's variants. Beyond those, the only reason I hold onto a Bruery beer is because it was so damn good I'm afraid to drink my last one and not have any more (I'm looking at you Melange 9 and Blue BBLs).

Beauregard has developed a nice touch of funk imo. Wish they would bring that bad boy back.

Drank a Beauregard two days ago, super funky and sour, subtle blueberry taste, very good stuff still.

I'm guessing Sour in the Rye or Oude Tart blended with Anniversary. The ABV math roughly works out with the ratios they stated (ABV would be 10 - 10.5% depending on the strength of the Anniversary barrels they pulled) and the flavor combination seems like it would work better with black currants than a blend involving Black Tuesday. Also, an OT/BT blend would basically be fruited Melange #1.

Not super excited about it considering how underwhelming Flanders Giant was, but maybe going heavier on the sour component will yield better results.

For anyone that's interested, the Black Tuesday hoodie is back up. Now lemme get one of those glasses!

I had my last Batch 300 about six months ago, if it's held up anything like mine I wouldn't be too bummed you missed it. I figured a big tripel would hold up well but mine was pretty dead. Flat, chalky, not much barrel character anymore. I enjoyed it, but it was nothing like it was a few years ago.

Emails for next year just went out. You have to choose if you want the howler or bag. Luckily we can buy the other one in early 2016. The bag actually looks pretty cool. I especially like the inside of it!

I wonder how much the other item will be.

I really want them both, the howler seems like a better design for beer than the hydroflask ( which I use a lot for non carbed beverages, but not so much for beer ) and the bag will get lots of use . I originally thought I wouldn't want a bag at all, but now I'm pretty stoked on it.

I was thinking the same thing. I thought, no chance on a bag, buts it's pretty sweet.

    Very torn here!

Bag. Hands down. If I lived in CA or ever filled growlers it'd be different, but even having 18 taps at work I never buy growlers of anything.

The howler looks like a winner for carbonated drinks for 2016 (hydro flask was a fail IMO)and, I really didn't get too many fills in 2015. I'm going for the bag. Always need a travel bag.

Went with the bag. Not close enough to the Bruery to get down there more than once or twice per quarter, and if I want a fill, already have a blank 2L growler. If CA's growler fill laws were different, I'd probably have considered the howler more.

Still choosing the bag and am not trying to gripe about my membership, but when they said it would be "big enough for an overnight excursion or a weekend adventure in beer," I was hoping it would have some design feature that took into account transporting bottles. That would really be awesome.

Shit, I seldom ever get a growler fill at Bruery and it seems like they've knocked us over the head with vessels to do that in the years past already that I don't need another one that I can only use at Bruery.

Any feedback on fourthmeal yet? I dug through the last couple of pages and couldn't find any tasting notes.
