Ugh, wish I could make it to a SMM one of these days. I'll be stopping through picking up Feb/March allocations this Friday evening while enroute to SD for Veritas pick up.

I think M&G was for PS only this time around.

 

They are actually checking id's at the door and the line is not bad at all. Chocolate rain 2013 and 15 on tap as well as melange 10 for hoarders

 

Looking forward to some Melange 10 reviews.

Im both reserve and preservation, so I was going to comment on this but now that I think about it I cant cause im both. oops haha.

Chocolate rain 13 was bottle. they were also pouring or xata 13 out of bottle and 15 on tap. also rum barrell mrs stoutfire, which im sure has been mentioned.

Matt was walking around with some bottles. I know i saw OG batch of Saison rue (green bottle), personally had oude tart with cherries 13 and black tuesday 14, and I also saw a bottle of ISO:FT around the bar area with matt, as well as a Papier aged in rye whiskey barrels.

Still going another 2 hours til last call so im sure we will see some more vintage bottles circulating.

Also, they have a poster /100

 

Any Hoarders still here? I would love to try Melange 10. I'm on the wall under the blank chalkboard in a Noble hoodie and FMB hat. Hit me up if your here!

 

Highlights from tonight:
- not incredibly crowded.
- CR '15...very nice fresh, a lot of chocolate...a lot.
- Melange 10 was actually quite tasty. Curious how this will develop. I would prefer it being 60:40 in favor of the spiced portion though.
- Rye Papier.
- growler fills of '12 SitR.

 

'12 SitR growler fill is nice. Anyone know the Hoarders fill?

 

CR was so sweet! Even more than I remember, I really liked the 2013 version which took a little of the heat and sweetness off. I still think this is the most decadent beer I've ever had.

Or Xata both 2013 and 2015 were delicious. Props to @mattolesh for the bottle pours of Saison Rue batch 1 (2008) and ISO:FT. Parking lot was packed but it wasn't too bad inside, maybe it was the jazzercise place taking up all the parking?

Melange 10 I really enjoyed as well, although I would prefer this to be a stout rather than an old ale, I really like what they did with this one. Improved considerably as it warmed up. Like @grze curious how my bottle will develop and if the flavors will enhance or fall off.

All in all another great SMM by the Bruery.

Mmmmm that ISO:FT was quite tasty. Definitely a pleasant surprise.
