IMO return for store credit is a poor solution.

Indeed. It was passable when it was a one-time issue, but they've had enough issues over a long enough period of time that they should step up and just issue refunds when the products are bad. I haven't even checked the couple bottles of Mash I bought, but those of us who are no longer members aren't going to get much use out of store credit.

Hey, Xul - if you open a bottle you purchased from us and it's experiencing off flavors, drop us a line and we'll make it right. Society membership status won't be a barrier.

I don't have a dog in the fight, as I didn't buy a single bottle of Mash. I fall on the sour side of things, so all the recent infections haven't affected me.

When I buy a product and it turns out to be faulty I expect a full return, regardless of the product.

I think we all buy enough Bruery beer that whether it's store credit or not doesn't really make much of a difference

It makes a difference for non-CA residents.

Sorry if this has already been noted or said in the thread but is there a list somewhere for known infected releases? I popped a couple year aged White Chocolate the other day that was really horrible/sour.

I don't think we have a database of that at this moment.

Off the top of my head I know WC 13 and 14 were both infected. Mash (the most recent discussion), Ignis Fatuus, So Happens It's Tuesday 2014, and apparently some 2015, Smoking Wood (2013?), Ebony and Oak, Cacaonut, Floyd D'Rue, Rue D'Floyd. Those are the ones I can remember.

It seems with the flash pasteurizer up and running and their new brewhouse this should be a thing of the past.

Those massive "snifters" are now available for purchase online. Not sure if they'll ship out of state, but if so I'll probably be buying one!

Will ship out of state - they ship separately because they're pretty delicate.

Thanks @BruerJoel. I'm only getting the option to pick it up at the Bruery. Is that a glitch or is there a way to change that later in the chekcout process?

I was happy to see the snifter hit the online store. Got mine

I wonder what "New Brands" means in the upcoming part of the email? :grinning:

I didn't love that they called them "brands" rather than "beers" but maybe I'm being too sensitive to big beer speak....

Maybe "brand" refers to a series? So like Frucht is a "new brand" that comprises several beers?
