Bruery 2016 RS/HS Allocations

For me, I'm not necessarily complaining, I'm mourning the loss of a what was a great beer that I've been looking forward to for almost a year... Definitely don't need another roble blanco.

 

I guess the society desk team having their fantasy football draft during fulfillment hours was a bad idea.

 

Just some feedback on the new website:
1. I did not think anything was wrong with the old layout.
2. It is much slower to load the graphics
3. It does not seem to show a summary of your beers that you have not picked up yet. That was one of the most awesome things from the prior design!

 

I have the bruerystore.com in my quick links at work and it no longer works. However, if I search the site or type the web address back in, I am getting to the new site.

 

Reserve Society membership purchase is up in the store now.

 

And was quickly removed. I saw it available and it no longer is...

 

Yeah, still under the allocations but not available for purchase. I'm guessing they dropped it in there and will send out an email at noon and it will be available then.

I haven't tried SitR w/P&C, but I have had SitR w/Kumquats, and that beer is in no way shape or form another Roble Blanco. Maybe not a perfect substitution, but a solid beer for sure.

 

M9!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God damn I loved that beer! Stoaked on that one!

@BruerJoel, any hint on the cult Napa Cabernet Sauvignon used?

 

No option to split the HS membership fee into two payments this year? I haven't decided whether or not to renew, but being able to split it into two payments made the $700 price tag a little easier to swallow!

 

ugh I can't even remember to get my allocation orders when it's a month, a week?!

 

@BruerJoel - I just noticed none of the beers are marked as Hoarders Exclusive. Does that mean Hoarders doesn't have anything exclusive for next year?

Where do I sign

 

What do they still owe us for RS 2016? Haven't we only got four bottles so far? So BT, 8 Maids and SiTR with kumquats?

 

WHOA - Did anyone notice that purchase window for next year is dropping to 1 WEEK! That's a bit extreme. They should be doing at least 2 weeks so you're guaranteed to at least get a paycheck during the period.

@BruerJoel - Any way this can be taken into consideration? This seems a bit extreme.

 

Reducing the allocation window to a week is another negative in my opinion. At least with the 3 week or so window I sometimes had a chance to make it into the tasting room and try the beers before deciding how many I wanted. Probably wont be able to do that anymore.

Hopefully the 3 Floyds collab is a new recipe and not just remaking the previous version. I was not a fan of the way that beer aged.

I had also emailed asking about the last of the 2016 member beers. Apparently most will be dropped in Q4, and they've changed some of the initial offerings. Melange 13 and 15 are being replaced with some sort of "Cuvee" blends.

Back to the SitR replacement - I'm happy they pulled a substandard beer, but they should replace it with another unique beer or offer a refund price for that beer. A rerelease of something we've had in the past vs a brand new release that enticed a lot of signups is not the same. I'm not saying its the deciding factor in signing up last year, but all the small hiccups and changes start to add up. Their customer service has always been a big pro in my books but its a shame they have to rely on it when an issue pops up every month.
