A buddy and I split one of these alongside Hoarder's Cuvee and a couple non-Bruery bottles on Sunday. CR'13 was great but Monday morning was not.

Thankfully I have one last bottle. It's aging really well.

My non-bottled white whale would be SiTR w/ Beach Plums.
My bottled white whale would be BT'09.

There was a time when I no doubt would have agreed 100% with this post. However, recent tastings are changing my opinion. I bought a case of Fruet when it was released and after the fact bought even more every following year it was made available in a archive/cellar sale or stress test because I liked it that much.

I opened a bottle 4-5 months ago and found it to be strangely medicinal, less sweet and more boozy than normal. I wrote it off as just maybe something I ate so a couple weeks later I opened another bottle along with coton, cuir and papier and found it to be at the bottom of that list, maybe tied with cuir which was seemingly slightly over-carbonated.

At this moment in time, I prefer papier and both 100% versions of coton and cuir over fruet - which wasnt always the case.

    Again, just my opinion.

We are getting too off topic here so ill stop commenting so this thread can get back to bitching, complaining and speculating.

I just did a chocolate rain vertical 2013-2016 and everyone thought the 14 was the best, with a mix of 13 and 15 being second best. So, keep that chocolate rain 13 and give me 14!

So for those who know, and maybe @BruerJoel , can an HS member buy a PS Q4 spot? I figure an extra BT and M&C can't hurt, I can add it to my cart but wanted to verify it's cool to do so.

Not sure if you're aware of the beer's origins, but it was a blend made specifically for the wedding of someone who was close with the Bruery, it was never sold or served elsewhere. There are only one or two bottles left in existence and considering both how it came about and what was in the blend, it will almost certainly never be recreated in its original form.

Good answer for a Bruery white whale, but not something you're going to be able to serve at your own wedding.

I believe anyone and everyone that wants a PS package for a quarter can get one as long as they are available on the site.

All correct except for the "only one or two left in existence." I know of at least one person with at least three or four.

SiTR with Beach Plums was also made for a wedding, and although I know where at least one keg resides I can't for the life of me convince its owner to tap it at a place and time of my choosing. The nerve!

I think a lot of people are still confused on how the blending tourney works. We have 4 beers provided to us (listed on the previous page). You MUST blend at least 2 of them together so it is not possible to just do a vanilla BT or something similar.

Regardless, I've never heard of them picking someone as a winner who did a super simple blend anyway. It could be awesome tasting but if the judges want complexity then they won't pick it.

One of my favorite things is going around and trying the different team's blends while the judges are doing their thing. There are a TON of great options every year that never get picked.

Too bad I can't make this blending session. it's fun to make different blends just for people that are walking around and shooting the shit. I always make a coconut bt, and a key lime pie bt and have a great time getting to know people.
PLEASE NO SPICES IN ANY OF THE BLENDS, THANKS.

Everyone see this? I'm disappointed. I didn't want a 30 oz glass. 21 oz was just a fine size...

I remember when I first heard about Grey Monday and and thought it was an Earl Grey tea blend. Would be interested in "The Grey Lady" -- BT brewed with Earl Grey tea.
