Bruery 2016 RS/HS Allocations

I guess the Sprint network in Omaha was royally fuckered up today. Not much of a loss on the beer front.

 

I didn't like L'Deracola. Might have been someone else who mentioned they liked it. I understood what they were trying to do with L'Deracola but think they just missed

 

Meanwhile I think they hit it perfectly, but it's just not something I would ever want to drink! L'Deracola is my personal Bruery low point but Derde is not far behind it. Thank goodness they make a TON of excellent beers and I'm happy if even the "duds" in my mind have their fans.

 

I think it was me referring to l'deracola. Let's not get it twisted, neither are good, its kinda like who's poop smells better. I could at least drink l'deracola as it tasted like a lime pepsi, which isn't a bad thing just not what I want in my beer.

 

that's pretty accurate. It did what they were trying to do with it but it isn't something I want in a beer.

 

A little off topic here, but I was wondering if The Bruery will be attending Extreme Beer Fest in Boston this year? An you shed any light on this @BruerJoel? I certainly hope so, I look forward to seeing you all every year.

 

For those not on Facebook, PS members freaking out about what they're not getting in this sale period is both entertaining and not surprising.

 

I was once PS and never complained. If they want RS benefits then they need to drop $300 in September like the rest of us.

 

Same here. Was discussed back in September/October, but it's amazing how little many folks know about the benefits they are/aren't entitled to in each society. You pay for something, it's probably best to know what you're receiving in return.

 

This is just another example of how entitled people get. I remember being excited that I would have an easier time getting in to RS because I was in PS. I knew some of the beers we were getting weren't the greatest, but I also knew I had to pay my dues.

 

No plans to attend Boston at this point. Maybe LA?

 

I find it both incredibly ignorant and hilarious that people complain about the sales.

 

Just opened a 3FH for science and to see if I should start thinning the stock down to a single of each. It gushed a good bit and is still very lively, but the beer itself is muted a good bit. Tastes like an old quad, and not a well received one. I think it's on the downhill at this point so I can't imagine what 2TD and PiaPT are tasting like. Opening a 4CB and 5GR later today for more verification.

 

So.......what're they mad about?

 

They're just upset they can't buy 8 Black Tuesdays of any of the Xmas beers like RS/HS can. Basically just whining because they haven't paid their dues to be able to get better options. While I understand being put out, why would anyone in PS think they would get RS/HS options when they're still in PS?

 

Lowly PS here (2017 Reserve however) and I am very grateful for having the chance to pick up 4 BT yesterday. I was LMAO at the social media comments, some really bitter PS folk. Get in the holiday spirit!
All in all PS hasn't been that bad, if you watch the sale the past few months we were able to grab up to a dozen bottles of BT, if you expect crazy variants or limited stuff these people should know better and join up with RS or HS. You get what you pay for.

 

Agreed! When I was in PS we didn't get access to the perks that they get now. I think they get too much. We got hazed Now it's their turn.

 

I dont get it. Im in PS and moving to RS next year, been in PS for 5 quarters. I do not understand why these guys are complaining. There are 3 different levels of commitment, each one getting more access and benefits than the previous. It makes perfect sense that each level gets more access than the last based off $$ amounts being forked over in one lump sum. Plus PS hardly gets much anyways, and this year was by far the best year for PS. All of the PS members I know are stoked this year, I guess there are just a few bad apples.
