Didn't think about yields, was just surprised they didn't put them up as a set.

This honestly seems like the best, most logical, and least complicated solution. It would also satisfy almost everyone. At least they should do this until the new growlers are available for purchase. I am really confused with The Bruery's decisions regarding merchandise/growlers as of late, but have mostly kept silent because most everything else they do is pretty good and inclusive to all RS/HS members. Even if I ignore how illogical it may be that you need to buy a growler each year for the privilege of "society-exclusive fills," I still think it is really wasteful to require new growlers each year (for however many society members there are) if they want to get fills of those exclusive beers.

I was thinking of maxing SHIT..I cracked one last night before doing so and I noticed an odd leathery aftertaste that reminded me of Freckle, not what remember of SHIT.. Anyone else notice an extremely roasty finish ?

Agreed, but as someone who got the bag, not being local, and then finding I could have my trustee fill a growler to ship, it would maybe have swayed me a tiny bit.

Regardless, it's not a huge deal, from the previous years it seems very far and few between they have something worth getting a growler of, especially if I have to worry about leaking and carbonation.

And if I was local, sure.. growler all the way, your correct. But lets not forget several people, even in CA, aren't local.

Well shit, I got one yesterday. thanks.
Normally they send it out today, I was just looking at today's emails.

Excited to hit the tasting room up for the first time this year, not excited to pick up 15 cases of beer for people I trustee for...its all part of the beer game.

It is one of the brewers recipes from The Bruery, so I am guessing just like @JoshBeerNow that is was produced in a small batch. I found the beer to be good, I also enjoyed the artwork done on the label.

There are quite a few people that I follow on Instagram that already have howlers and Hourder glasses. When I went to pick up my society bag on Tuesday a fellow member was picking up a howler and his glasses as well.

    Conclusion.......IMO @JoshBeerNow is correct.

The only growler/howler fills I'm looking forward to are Berazzled and Bemangoed(if they are available this year). I really missed those beers last year.

Is the Society desk open today? I received an email response saying they won't be monitoring the emails since they would be closed for the holiday party. The website shows normal hours and last weekend I scheduled to pick up today. Trying to find out before making the hour drive. Cheers

I'm wondering this too, they said they won't be monitoring emails after 10PM tonight. If I don't get a confirmation email I probably won't make that hour drive. We'll see at noon when they open

Yes, the desk is open normal hours today! We will be closed tomorrow and will reopen at 5pm on Monday. The tasting room hours are the same.

    Cheers,

Phew, I was going to say... I emailed on Thursday to give a heads up that I'd be stopping in on Sat afternoon & got a "rodger that" email. I'd have been pretty sad if I got there and couldn't pick up.

Also just looked over the taplist, probably a mistake but it shows 14oz pours of Colonel Kernel. If not a typo, at ~15%abv there will be some sloppy members in the tasting room.
