Following up on Rum BT from the xmas sale: I picked up today, sounds like Rum BT is gone. I was able to sub out for Port BT, which is ok by me but the only other option is refund (was hoping to swing another BT Reserve but got shut down).

Lolz. Trust me, it'll be someone else's next year. Lots of unsold beers. That's why they keep having "cellar sales" and "second chance" beers. Good thing I joined the League of Partygoers.

Yeah it's been a slow start to 2016 with only Les Ronces, Room for Me, and Filmishmish.......

Anyone not happy with Room For Me, I will gladly purchase some of those bottles off of you.

This is exactly the case. Matt told me that the special RS32 fills are for carry over beers from last year. So come April'ish the RS32 fills will be the typical growler fills that are available and not special fills. While I disagree with the policy, it is the policy. I will say the fill options currently available are very solid and I had a tough time deciding.
It will be awesome in 5 years when I have five 32 oz growlers from one brewery, note the sarcasm. One can only have so many water bottles!

Hearing all the positive remarks about Les Ronces, just made me buy more. Haven't tried it yet, so hope this was a good decision

It is really good and even better out of the bottle. You made a good decision

How sour is it? Don't get me wrong, I love a good sour, but Bruery sours are SOUR. I generally drink the beers on my own since my roommate generally doesn't like beer (she does like sours, but only a small amount), and I can't finish 750ml of a Bruery sour without feeling like hell from the acidity.

Its right up there with most Bruery sours in level of sourness. I see tums and hard cheese in your future.

It has a pretty good acidity but is well balanced with the fruit. I'd say it is a little tamer than some of the other sours they produce but that could just be from the berry sweetness. In my experience it doesn't drink as harsh as say Rueze, but don't equate that to low sour power.

Some people tend to start w/ stomach issues before finding sour beer, and tums are their friends.

I bought some sours last year, and they're just sitting in my "cellar" because my palate gets destroyed after 6 oz so I'm being selective about which sours I buy.

I did buy some Room For Me though.

My friend did a blending of a couple of bruery beers. How the fuck did that Colonel Kernel get into my shit?!

I also have problems with Bruery sour acidity. It had gotten to the point where I was hardly drinking their sours. Les Ronces was pretty easy to drink and probably the most enjoyable Bruery sour I've had in quite some time. Opened a Room for Me this afternoon and it was pretty easy to take down too. Hope the acidity levels stay that way.

How did it compare to OT with boysenberries?

I just had both recently, I felt like Les Ronces was less acidic than OT w/ boysenberries but I also think that is just the difference in the styles (blonde sour vs flanders). Both are excellent though and I need to score some more OT w/boysenberries soon.

I agree with barhoc in regard to acidity. I preferred les ronces by a good margin.

The key to drinking really sour beers like OT is to let it warm up quite a bit. Fruits come out more and tartness fades.

Stopped in this weekend to pick up my beers and Rum Black Tuesday wasn't included. I was given the choice of Port or a refund. I gladly took the Port. I was told that what they thought was Rum BT in storage was accidently mislabeled and really Port. So they didn't have enough to fill the Rum orders.

Also went by the tasting room which led me to maxing out my Poterie allocation. That was really good and stood out the most to me. Really like Les Ronces. I was surprised at how well Sourrento was tasting. I've had it a couple times before but maybe not as fresh so perhaps the vanilla faded or maybe it just tasted so good because it was so hot out. Plan on enjoying a bottle this weekend at the river.
