They got it (1 bottle) as Q1 allocation which is likely picked up in March, after we get it in feb.

    Yep. It's good.

But really, I'm not a huge fan of sours that peel the enamel off your teeth, and The Bruery is pretty good at that (Mother Funker anyone?). Befuddlement stuck true to the previous "vintage(s)", initially it's somewhat tart and effervescent, then the blackberries hit with a sweetness that reminds you of romping through a blackberry patch and seeing, out of the corner of your eye, what could only be that purple hue of a fresh, dew laden blackberry. Next, as the glorious liquid is making its way to its intended target, you get a nice tannic hit and a slight sweetness that reminds you just a little of what that beer was in contact with for many months. Finally, after the elixir has completed its journey, you're left with a pectin like pucker, reinforcing that you just enjoyed what is, and will always be called: BEFUDDLEMENT.

first monday of the month the tasting room is only for members and you can try all that months allocations on taps. they pull out special bottles usually to crack for those in attendance and last year each had its own numbered poster.

It took me 2 nights to get through. I liked it both nights. The second night the cherries were a little more toned down as well as the coffee smell which allowed me to drink it much more easily. I am not a cherry in my stouts/porters person but was able to drink it both night's. There is no smokeyness to the beer, roasty yes, more of a tart and bitter. Tart from the cherries and bitter from the coffee.

Also, I want to give a shout out to the new reserve society glass. I was initially bummed about not getting the hoarders glass because I like pouring my entire bottle into 1 glass. But the shape, feel, and look is spot on. Thanks Bruery.

When I saw it, I immediately wondered why they didn't use those flat rate USPS boxes. Might've taken a day longer to arrive, but at 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost. Oh well, one for the suggestion box

Decided to open Mash & FT tonight - I think this is my favorite Mash variant yet. I've generally found the others to be too sweet (personal preference I guess) but the cinnamon/nutmeg in this one really balances it nicely, and it really does remind you of French Toast. Pretty delicious.

Yeah, how dare an initiate BA member and probably a new Bruery member not automatically understand how things work in the program. They should probably yank his man card for even asking such a question.

Opened up a Melange 15 last night...totally infected. I haven't heard anyone on the forums mention it, I suppose it's only a small qty from the batch?

How did you store it? I've had some prairie beers go bad bc I didn't store them properly. Not sure if that's the case here or not, but just wondering.

It doesn't take a genius to know that if the lowest level tier of a club gets something, the upper tiers will too. It's not like any club or membership anywhere on Earth gives perks to people paying less and getting less than the ones paying more.

Mine was bad too. I thought I saw one post in the 2016 thread where someone else brought it up, but thats it. I also saw an Untappd checkin about an infected one.

It's not what your saying, it's how your saying it.

A bottle from my RS '16 membership was bad too. I had one good and one bad so far. Still have one or two more. Guess I'll dig in sooner than later.
