You know I'm just giving you shit Jimmy.

RDF for sure. Mash and French Toast is good for RDF is next level.

Tried them both last night on tap. Mash & French Toast if you like maple syrup and nutmeg. Base beer is completely absent due to the adjuncts. RDF if you like coffee imperial stouts, didn't get much vanilla and cherry. As it warmed, coffee faded and the vanilla came out more.

That sucks about the M&C. That beer was bomb off tap.

I've thoroughly enjoyed 4-5 bottles and have more en route. I got a growler in 2014 shipped to me so it was hard to compare that to a fresh bottle, I feel the growler may have had more coconut but I still get plenty in the bottles. Different palates I guess.

I also think M&C was great out of the bottle. My favorite Bruery bottle release from 2016.

Out of the bottle, I never felt like I got much vanilla but the cherry was always present (and amazing).

I get what you are saying but all three of the flavors you mentioned can be tasted in beer without the adjunct

Coffee you can get from roast malts, there's even a coffee malt that imparts a coffee like flavor
Chocolate you can get from chocolate malts in fact Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout does not use any adjuncts
Vanilla you can get straight from the barrel

I can't count the number of customers I've notified that Brooklyn BCS isn't actually a chocolate beer. Great beer, horribly misleading name.

No, it's not new. Definitely it's an odd design.

As for Mash & coconut, I only had it once from the bottle. It seemed the coconut clashed with the base, and coconut wasn't forward as the vanilla was in M&V. I liked it, but M&V was better imo. Will revisit M&C if it's still on tap next time I'm there.

I love the Mash & Vanilla, both times they were wonderful.

Looking forward to Mash & French Toast

Didn't particularly enjoy M&C, thought M&FT was much better.

Hoping the vanilla and cherries are much stronger out of the bottle.

Anyone tried The Order on tap? Curious for reviews, my favorite Belgian style tends to be quads with dark fruit notes and The Order having dates added is encouraging on that front.

The original RDF, and this one for most part (give a few weeks to the coffee and it'll get even better), it wasn't about each of the adjuncts specifically, but the (cueing from MT descriptors now) a symphony of flavor that exceeded their individual contribution.

Can anyone tell me if Rue d Floyd is a Hoarders exclusive? A friend tells me yes when I have an email saying its a Reserve exclusive

Reserve exclusive means reserve and higher. Reserve membership had included two bottles and should get access to additional bottles later this month via the allocations.

If it was a Hoarders Exclusive then RS would get none (up front that is, it may fall out of exclusivity if not enough HS members buy bottles).

Did you really get what I was saying?

Almost everyone on this site knows you can get chocolate and coffee from malt, and vanilla from the barrel.

    Hint: Sarcasm, dry humor

And as a wise man on this site once said

I was just returning the favor

Can't always take us too seriously here. Sometimes we are just having light hearted fun
