Bruery 2017 RS/HS Allocations

Can someone who regularly goes to SMM PM me please?

 

I've had my M15 laying out at house temp the whole time. First bottle I had was really good. Brought a bottle up to share with family over the holidays and it too as really good. Depending on if this develops further I may have to pull them up front in the queue to be moved into cold storage.

 

Did anyone else's bottle opener crack? On the first use mine did. I mentioned it elsewhere and I was told theirs did too.

First use on mine it cracked a bit so I backed off. Was a bit bummed. Don't know if I can open another with it, but I'd assume if you email into the society desk they may be able to make it right (if they have the stock).

 

I used mine on a waxed bottle and it started to crack, only because the hole wasn't big enough (giggity) to accommodate the bottle cap AND the wax.

 

I too was concerned about how well it would hold up. I've been using mine though, and it's been holding up pretty well. Opened a number of Bruery bottles with the shrink foil on them, and it cracks right through it no problem.

I wonder if they will replace those that broke in the first month though. Maybe the RS opener is stronger?

 

Speaking of breaking things, has anyone ever had a Bruery bottle break upon opening? I've opened at least 500 of them now, never seen it, but last night I opened an Otiose I have been eyeing for a bit and part of the crown broke off when I popped the cap. Same bottle opener as always. I was bummed because I had to strain it for fear of glass shards in my gut so I couldn't drink the massive slurry of chunks in it.

 

This has happened to me on 2-3 occasions with Bruery bottles (fortunately not for awhile now). Very unsettling...each time was a waxed bottle though.

 

Thanks, my lone bottle of M15 was the same batch so I threw it in the fridge immediately and cracked Sunday night. Lucky for us, ours was tasting delightful.

Wait, so RS gets access but I don't have the chance to buy more as an HS? and yes, I screwed up the "wish list" thing.

Edit: In no way am I upset about RS getting those beers, since they're amazing.

 

The site is up but purchase isn't available yet. HS gets more of everything.

 

If you click on the full descriptions it lists the new limits for today. Hoarders are getting more of each of those beers as well.
Already bought snifters myself since they were available.

Another nearly $700 in beer. Good night this is a pricey month. I love it.

 

The RS email reminded me that the 30oz snifter I ordered when it was last on sale arrived with a crack on it. Anyone else have this happen to them? Not sure if I'm SOL or not.

 

If I recall correctly, someone in the 2016 thread posted a pic of the mailman dropping a ton of those boxes in the Bruery parking lot...
