What makes you think RS members don't get access to PS beers before PS gets access to them?

RS members that keep PS are doing so to increase their allocations, not to gain access to PS beers

Now that I'm reading the terms and conditions on the site, I came across this beauty: "Membership may not be canceled or terminated by members for any reason."

That was my initial impression which is why I chose to upgrade to RS and why, personally, I am not interested in keeping PS.

I was responding to a comment that an RS member kept his PS membership because he liked the PS beers. I took that to mean access and not extending allotment. I misunderstood.

Fair enough. Had not considered that.

    and Scotch Chronology 24.

That is for RS & HS -- And who would want to?!?
Once they have your money, you cannot cancel and expect a refund. I was not surprised by that at all.

Correct. You obviously can choose not to renew for the following year, but cannot cancel during a year you already paid for

Anybody notice they sectioned off the society taplist? Last year there was a society exclusive taplist (for RS and PS) and a hoarder taplist. Now they have 3, one for each tier. Is this an attempt to renew exclusivity back to reserve society?

Without making this sound like a pissing contest, nothing in the terms states that that specific term applies to only RS & HS.

Just pointing out the absurdity of what it says.

Speaking of hoodies, the new bear hugging a beer one is pretty cool. Ended up ordering one today.

Mine wasn't crack as much as the USPS kick the box and broke both my glasses. Emailed the society and they replied that a second box was going to be shipped. This was last week so I don't know the results yet.

Before your to worried the Pin arrived unscratched and in perfect condition

That is a nice hoodie. If it didn't say Orange County on it I would get one too. That part ruins it lol.

Not sure. Actually I'm pretty sure I called to confirm whether my PS membership would be automatically cancelled and they said no, and that some folks decided to keep both. I made that call when I still had time to cancel but decided to stick it out for the extra allocations. The loss of the extra 5% discount was not a deal killer for me.

It also "forced" me to try some beers I may not have otherwise purchased, like Ride that Goat and Ride that Bear, which were both great!

What did bum me out was when RS and PS both got an allocation (such as for Black Tuesday) the website wouldn't let me max my RS allocation and then take my PS allocation on top of it (at least I never figured out how to do it).

Still, no regrets for my extra time in PS. Sorry to hear you were disappointed with it.

I know you were responding to @dimetech, but it wasn't that I was disappointed. I enjoyed PS very much, hence wanting to upgrade to RS. But, for me, there isn't an advantage for being in both when I get access to PS beers with the RS membership.

It is what it is, I'm sure I'll enjoy all the beers I get.

I was just using that as a general figure for the quarter. I don't know off hand what the exact number was.

I nearly had the same issue...their subscription management system is poor.

I had this same issue, they had me make a second account and added my PS account to it and left my RS account on the other.

I'm def not a fan of the new management system they have.

Both of my bottles of Melange 15 that were picked up last week from the Bruery were both wretched last night.

    Were these not flash pasteurized?

Tasted... in a weird "kinda like the way newborn baby shit smells" but the smell of soured bile/vomit was just too much to handle more than a sip of.

Ah well. I need to reduce my bottle count anyways.
