So it's not like last year where the growler took up a shipper space?

Figured they'd be able to fill all that stuff on a regular 12 bottle shipper.

Guess I'll just buy another bottle now and ship the stuff

it should fit in a space but e-mail them to ensure that it will

I had a Share This: Coffee two nights ago and I was quite impressed, one of the best non BA stouts I've had in awhile.

Throw that in some rum barrels with coconut and they'd have a hypetrain beer on their hands.

My only complaint was that the coffee was a little too bitter for me. Some like darker roast than others. I'm sitting on a couple of more bottles to see if it mellows.

Driving through LA last week, I stopped at the tasting room for the first time and tried Share this Mole. I thought that was really good and picked up a couple of bottles. I was surprised to see that Paste magazine ranked it #7 out of 102 non BA Stouts. I'll have to give it a more extensive evaluation.

I came across a shop with Fourthmeal, Pinolambicus, Aaarrrggghhh, SHIT (bottled 12/2015) and a few other non-BA limited releases from 14'/15'. All of them have sat at room temperature. Thoughts on whether these are still worth purchasing at retail price or are they all past their prime?

Fourthmeal was amazing but since it's a hoppy beer, I can't see how it would hold up too well sitting at room temp for this long.

UPDATE: Bruery made things right. They really do have amazing customer service within their Society Team.

For Member Monday's... are both of the tasting rooms open just for members? Or just one? And which one?
If it's the main tasting room can I go at opening and get my stamp?
    Thanks!

They switched it up this year and moved Member Monday to Terreux. Bruery TR will be open to public as usual.

    From their email:
"On Monday, February 6, our Bruery Terreux Tasting Room is closed for a private event, open from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. exclusively to our Reserve and Hoarders Society members (and a guest). However, The Bruery Tasting Room is open normal hours, from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. If you're looking to visit one of our Tasting Rooms on Monday, set your GPS for 717 Dunn Way in Placentia."

I would usually go to Society Member Monday at noon when it was less crowded and no traffic. Moving it to 4PM is going to be tougher to get to. Is 4-10 a more preferred time? Or do they want more people to go to Terreux?

I bought a Fourthmeal off a store shelf last July and thought it was really tasty. Assuming it's around $11.99? I'd say go for it. Even if hops have dropped off, Belgiany flavors should still be nice.
I wasn't impressed with Aaarrgghhh when it was fresh, and I believe it's a pilsner base, so probably worth skipping.
Is 12/15 SHIT the infected batch, or was that 7/15? Might be safer to just buy a current bottle direct from The Bruery.

They want more people to go to Terreux. I guess they would rather fill up Terreux with members and have regular tasting room open to paying customers than have minimum paying customers at both sites.

pinolambicus is definitly a hard to get bruery beer. i haven't had it in a long time but i really liked it. if the price is right (less than $25) it might be worth a try. it's part of their vitus series that they stopped with oui oui

Agreed, that's a hell of a find. I tried trading for one forever and finally broke down and bought one off MBC for $40. It's probably a little oxidized by now but will still be delicious.

I'm planning to head down for my first "member Monday".

Just so I'm clear....there are two separate taprooms, correct? Are both member only this Monday?

Correct, there are two. Just one has Member Monday, Terreux Tasting Room.

I work Mondays so the earliest I can get through traffic and get there would be 7-8pm... so yes.

I understand for some people that is convenient, but I like to take a lunch to swing by and get a few tasters. I liked the old hours so I wouldn't add to the traffic. I'll be there though, just saying.

I would be hesitant to buy beer of that age from anywhere but The Bruery itself. Biggest reason is that you do not know where that beer has been over the span of 2 or so years. But of course if you do buy some, I would suggest asking for a discount due to the age of the beer.

Are drinks free for members on member Mondays?
