Bruery 2018 RS/HS Allocations

I know, I saw the correspondence. I guess Hoarders are lucky that the Bruery planned on making more of this one, because we weren't so lucky with Last Slice. I guess I'm more irked about the principle of it - they know how many members they have and what their allocations are. I'm no Supply Chain rocket scientist, but wouldn't it make sense to set aside at least that amount for the club, and then sell whatever is left out of the stores/distro?

Allocations have always been just that; they were never billed as 'first come, first served'.

 

You guys seriously have no patience.

What exactly would you be happy with them doing here? It was already acknowledged and they said they will do everything in their power to make sure it doesn’t happen again, and more will be released this week to rectify it.

 

I was wondering the exact same thing. The beer sold out 3 different times and had stock brought back. If you see it sell out once and come back and really wanted it why not buy it then instead of waiting. Maybe you missed the window all three times but even then they told you they're going to fix it and get more out to you in a week's time... But I guess people will have their opinions and that's fine.

 

I agree. I think there might be some poor planning here but it goes both ways. It was up enough that there were opportunities to grab it.

If you ended up missing it earlier on, you're not assed out, so I can't group this with the Last Slice situation in that, it will be available in the not so distant future.

Is it ideal? No but it's no where near worth getting too upset over either.

 

BTW, Bakery cans are up on the online store.

 

Must be a big sale today. Along with more Bakery they added Melange 5, bois fume, WC w. Cherry, Melange 9, blue bbls, beffuddlement, beauregarde, mash and coconut, 2016 oude tart and oude tart w/ raspberry. Looks like YAFI cans have been removed but the bottles are still there.

Just happened to open up a bottle of Bois Fume a couple of days ago. Unfortunately I wasn't super impressed. What I like so much about the Smoking Wood series is the relatively high level of sweetness that balances out the smoke. So I thought for sure that Bois would bring the sweetness. It didn't. I think there's four years on the bottle, so maybe it's just past it's prime?

Still have to ship up my bottle of Chunk. Hopefully it was just a bad bottle. Did open up a can of YAFI yesterday and it was a little over carbonated. But it tasted just fine. I mean, not "the best vanilla stout I've ever had" fine. But it was good.

 

I opened up a WC Chunk this weekend to see if mine had any off flavors, but everything was normal. Still have another bottle left so its possible there could be variances.

 

Also, anybody have any details on the Crowler/Growler specials for this weekend, mentioned in the allocation e-mail?

It seems like they have stopped with the "comin soon" section on the begining of month allocation emails. Or eat least the last 2 begining of month allocation emails

 

Are renewals supposed to happen on the 1st like in the past? Haven’t heard anything about it and it’s a few days out. Usually there’s an email or something about it along with something in the mail.

 

Has there been anymore talk on when some of the website features that were lost a couple of years ago will return? I have an awesome trustee @Yabu , but I would really like the feature back where it shows what orders have been picked up and which have not. Seems like it has to already be built in for the Fulfillment center.

For sure. I just looked back from last years emails and they sent out a few emails about renewals from the first week of August and so on. And they even sent things in the mail the week before leading up to the renewal date.

 

Maybe that was the "August Surprise" that never materialized...
