There are at least 2 stores in Santa Clara County that have all 4 on the shelf.

there are stores in San Diego that are members of the RS/HS and then resell the beer for a large markup. If I had to guess that is what is going on with those stores. Not sure on the legality of doing this.

    You're probably correct.

I had 2.5 ounces from the tap recently and THAT was a lot. I had been sampling for a while so I could see myself having a lot more, but this is still a bottle I would split witha couple people, yes

I saw a few of those beers at Bottlecraft, clearly marked as being beers from RS/HS, at relatively reasonable prices (around $10/bomber). I'm pretty sure they would have checked with the Bruery on whether it was OK or not OK to redistribute. I think the same thing is true with Best Damn Beer Shop.

It's the french name for the 5th year traditional anniversary (wedding) gift.

Since this is their fifth anniversary beer, it is named Bois for wood.

Next years will either be Iron (fer) or Sugar (sucre). More than likely it'll be sucre.
So this is a bad name for this beer or do you hate the whole line up? What would a better name be and how would you justify it?

split a bottle with a buddy last night and boy was it delicious, if a tad bit hot.

looking forward to revisiting this in 1 and 2 years.

They sucked me in again. Picked up 2 at $33 a pop. Will open one soon and then judge how long to lay it down. If it is indeed 100% bourbon-barrel aged, then it should last a couple years without losing all of its barrel character, so I'm already pegging that as the sweet spot.

The word Bois sounds dumb is all...sorry to the Fancophiles in the building. Fruet sounded better, and it's not even a word...

My store was selling it for $27.99, thankfully.

    One bottle limit.
