It goes on sale tomorrow, so yea, you would have quite the time trying to find it right now.

I would have guessed more than BT and less than CR landing at $35. In my book hazelnuts should be cheaper than fancy Cocoa nibs and Vanilla beans. Then again the Bruery always has pricier beers so I am not shocked by any means. Generally I don't get the vibe that Patrick and Co are trying to screw people over, they are just using expensive ingredients and a lot of them. I'd wager that it is more likely Grey Monday spends greater time in the barrel which accounts for some of that potential $5 difference.

    All that said... 4 please.

CR was $40. It just came to $34 after the RS discount. So Grey Monday should actually be $34 for RS and $32 for HS.

On a related note, Bruery just tweeted that Reserve Society 2014 memberships are "almost sold out". I wonder if it's more popular this year; last year they were selling memberships up through December 31st IIRC.

In addition to that length of time, how much more hazelnut do you think might be needed to have the same impact on a barrel of beer as strong tasting as BT? And how much more loss of beer when you have more of an ingredient? And I would imagine they have a (well deserved) healthy margin on their high end beers by now (at least I hope so). So marginal ingredient cost differences seem unlikely to shift the cost dramatically, unless it's upwards. For example, would I be wildly surprised if BT + wine cost $45+? No... but I'd expect BT+any sort of baking ingredient to be $40

I won't mind if that collaboration is moved to December, I'll be spending enough as it is.

Which still means RS is probably selling out before the end of the year, which means it's more popular (or they're letting in less people which I doubt). I recall just as nanobrew did that the memberships were available until 12/31/12.
