Any Preservation Members get their most recent pack? In May they said it was shipping early July. I emailed the Bruery and they haven't gotten back to me for awhile.

Maybe that's why I didn't get a response - they're scrambling to find my order. Good to know though. What's in the pack?

BBA Bois, Saison Tonellerie, Ebony & Oak. I enjoyed the previous quarter more for sure.

Last time I had it I preferred Oude Tart to Oude Tart with Cherries. I don't think I'm in the majority, but certainly wasn't alone in this opinion.

I'd say it's one of the better beers they make. I'd say Bourbon Barrel Aged Autumn Maple may be the best.

Still not buying very many, though.

Had Praecocia and I really liked it, fruity (apricot) and sweet.

You know you don't have to max allocations, right?

I'm not sure how this is relevant to his question. If the beer is good, I might get a lot. If it's terrible, I might not get any. It's a pre-order, and especially for those of us out of the area, it can be a bit of a gamble on whether a beer is good or not. Nothing to do with maxing allocations.

Also, with the last few allocations I've been keeping in mind the 95% chance that the beers will be available after the allocation period to purchase more if so inclined, with no limits. This definitely limits the amount of 'gamble' associated with a purchase. I currently share an RS membership so I'm limited to half the allocation limit - so if you have the opportunity to either try it in the tasting room or pick up your bottles and try one quickly, you sorta know you have the chance to buy more if you happen to fall in love with a beer (as happened to me with both Mash and Mash/Grind)

I figure with both of these beers I'll order 2-3 of each (assuming of course that my half of the allocations warrants it), try them as soon as possible, and purchase more should I feel so inclined. I'm quite happy to have the peace of mind knowing that I will have the opportunity to purchase more beyond the limits if I feel inclined to do so. This def. seems to be the case with all the beers so far except for Chocolate Rain (which still had a post-allocation sale, despite it's issues) - and I suspect with Grey Monday and BT whenever they are released.

I know, I misunderstood what he meant, and was wondering why he would be glad about a 2 bottle allocation.

Anyone surprised at the $20 price (before discounts) for Windowsill? I'd pictured it more along the lines of a $10-12 dollar beer like many other collabs. I suppose with a 10.5% ABV, there's merit behind it but I'm torn on paying $20 when I could just pick up more Bottleworks. I'll definitely have to try this one in the tasting room first.

Im feeling the same way. OTwC was amazing, at windowsills price point i would almost rather buy a few more of otwc or bottleswokrs xii. but as with sevrel other surprises it could be another winner. I think the sleeper hit for me was Mash so far. i take it the ingredients were hefty with this one?

Does any one know what the base beer for windowsills is?

Surprised? Not really? A bit bummed about it, but not surprised. $20 seems to be the new bruery standard and is the main reason I'm thinking about passing on my RS membership next year. I think their prices are out of control and a tad bit offensive. But I guess it's business...strike while the iron's hot.

I'm a bit surprised, especially when I can get New Glarus fruit 750's for $10, including their strawberry rhubarb. I'll probably only get one bottle of Windowsill. If it was only $12 or so, I may have purchased 3-4.

Bruery doesn't really seem to care about pricing as long as others gladly pay it.

Windowsill does have 2.5x the alcohol of the NG strawberry rhubarb.
