You might be right I don't remember as I have had no need to look for it. But that would be a HUGE markup, as typically the Bruery prices are very close to actual retail prices. Plus there are so many stores selling RS only beers it is hard to tell which beers are sold through distribution verse ones being resold via memberships.

I wonder what the Bruery (and other brewery's) feelings are towards the RS and tasting room only beers being resold?

It is not a RS/HS exclusives, it is available in the tasting room to the commoners. Just checked one of my bottles and It doesnt have even have a barcode on it(might be an 11 it was in the random pile of beers).

I agree with you about not buying from them if they are selling second hand. thanks for the heads up.

some BT details were buried in today's RS renewal reminder email. it goes on sale tomorrow and RS members can purchase up to 6 bottles.

BT and Melange #1. Expensive month. At least the third beer is one to skip.

You couldn't be more wrong. BA Autumn Maple is outrageously awesome.

Yeah, Melange 1 back again:slight_smile: I kind of have a BT collection going at this point, so I will most likely pick up more Melange 1 than BT.

Nothing wrong with ruezue and in all fairness it was one of their better sours they put out last year. its just not something that i'm particularly exited about since I can still find some or other AWA/lambics that are comparable/better.

Looks like I'm maxing out this time. And might get more Melange #1 after allocations are fulfilled.

I will be maxing on BT & Melange #1. Not sure about BBA Autumn Maple, think I'll save my $$ to max out on Grey Monday. Then again If my other RS friend doesn't buy her allocation of BT or Melange....I may just buy those

Goodbye, paycheck. Hello 6 BT and 4 Melange #1.

And probably a BA Autumn Maple for dessert

Just a suggestion - if you have not tried Melange #1, I do not suggest you max. it out. Please at least try "home blending" some Oude Tart + BT to see what it ends up as roughly. I didn't like my 2011 (?) bottle at all...

Thanks for the tip, but I've had it in the past & I do like it. if fact, it's lead me to home blending BT w all kinds of sours at home. Last was time was with Beauregarde. It's a little scary how easy it is to drink BT quickly when blended.
Next to BBA stouts, sours are my favorite beer. I can't wait to home blend Cherry Oude Tart w BT.

Can anyone speak to their tasting notes of Melange #1. Do you get a lot of the Black Tuesday? I have read the reviews but any additional commentary would be nice.

With the ABV being 11% and doing a little math it would seem that is about 2/3 Oude Tart and 1/3 BT. I wasn't a huge fan of 2012 Tart of Darkness (not enough stout for me, didn't try the 2013 batch) so I am not sure if I should purchase any Melange #1.
