Anyone know when these are on sale until? Assuming one of the last few days of the month but was curious of an exact date.

When reading old tasting notes you have to bear in mind that last time M1 was 9.5% so it was only about 20% BT; this time it is closer to 31% BT. It has been awhile since I had an M1 but it has never tasted like Tart of Darkness to me, I don't really like ToD but have enjoyed M1.

Well, I did my order, maxed BT, maxed #1s, and went with 3 of the BA Autumn.

The email said these were on sale until Oct. 25. I was going to max out BT & get 2 of each of the others. But once I saw that they were on sale almost all month, I'm going to spread out the monetary pain. So I just maxed on BT today:wink:

I agree that "home blending" is a good idea; but, I've tried 4 or 5 different ratios of BT:OT and have never been able to dial it in like Melange #1 is so perfectly dialed in.

(slightly off topic, but sorry you didn't like it)

Melange 1 is my favorite Melange. Can't wait to sip on it.

From what I remember I agree, it wasn't heavy on the sour.
For most of this years releases we have been able to sample at the tasting room before to cut off. I'm there at least once a week so I'm happy to report back for anyone who can't make it in.

Anyone know when the BT will ship? It usually says in their emails, but I don't see it this time

    Really?
I kinda hate Autnmn Maple but i wasn't sure if a BA version would improve it. Have you had it?

So do RS members get 2 included with membership (before buying the allocations)? Is that correct?
    How many do HS get?

RS members get a couple bottles, while Hoarders receive 3 bottles of Rum BT and 2 bottles of Mardi Rouge (the latter is a Hoarders exclusive, BT blended with Petite Syrah grapes). These bottles are all included in the membership cost, for both membership tiers.

Yeah; wasn't sure if he was asking about this year or next.

This year 2 bottles for RS are built-in, plus RS can buy up to 6 bottles more, and Hoarders can buy 12.

I haven't had this batch, but the previous batch (two previous batches?) was (were both?) spectacular. The spices fade, the bourbon and barrel notes mesh beautifully. I suppose if you really HATE Autumn Maple and any sensory experience that reminds you of it is likely to be met with nausea (or similar) then this still won't be your bag.
