    BARREL AGED BEER CELEBRATION!

    Dear Reserve Society member,
We wanted to have one more blowout before the holiday season is completely upon us and we figured there is no better way than with a few small parties for you, our Reserve Society, featuring all of the barrel aged beer that we have to spare!
There will be 4 separate sessions for these parties, 2 on Monday night, 11/26 and 2 on Tuesday night, 11/27.
TICKETS FOR ALL FOUR EVENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH, 2012 AT 10AM THROUGH SOCIETY.THEBRUERY.COM
The sessions will run from 5-7pm and 8-10pm on both 11/26 and 11/27 and you are allowed to purchase a total of 2 tickets.
Tickets are priced at $30, your discount already applied.
Included in the price are 10 beer tastings as well as a light dinner from The Tamarindo Truck.
We are pulling out the stops on the beer list for this event. For the most part, if it was brewed by The Bruery and aged in a barrel, it will be on tap.
Some featured beers will include, but are not nearly limited to:
    The Wanderer
    Bottleworks XII
    2010 Chocolate Rain
    Grey Monday
Rum Barrel Aged 5 Golden Rings
Special Surprise Cask variation of Black Tuesday
    Marrón Acidifié
    Papier
    Mélange #1
and the list goes on and on...

**Please note, in order to accommodate the maximum amount of Reserve Society members, you can ONLY purchase tickets to ONE event. You CAN NOT go to one session of each event. If you purchase tickets to one of each, we will automatically refund one of the two purchases at our discretion.**

I must say that I am very disappointed in this upcoming event. I mean, the Tamarindo Truck? /s

I was excited...until I saw it was on a Monday and Tuesday night. I cannot justify going up from SD when I have to work the next day or have to take a day off.

    Probably won't go
Why is this on a work night?
    Tough to say "No," though

My guess - this sounds like an idea cooked up at relatively the last minute (although no complaints on my end as I'm stoked to have the opportunity to try those heavyweights on draft) and there aren't very many available weekends until the holidays.

What were the highlights of last year's Bruery's Barrel Aged Night? I couldn't make it.

Edit: Wasn't last year's event on in the barrel room, itself?
Double edit: Where is this year's party? That info seems to be lacking in the e-mail/OP.

Last year's highlights for me were 09 BT & Peanut butter Balls BT.
Yes, last years was at the barrel room itself, and was catered by beachwood bbq.
Doesn't say, agree info on location is lacking.

Price is less then last years, but there is less food, with the same amount of tickets, so seems well priced.

I willl likely go, but agree getting notice of the sale less then 24 hours prior, it being less then 2 weeks away, & landing on two week nights...seems this was cooked up last minute imo, and wished they had planned it better. I had a thread on BA about this after the BT event, had sent an email to Jaime @ the Bruery about this a month ago, & she only said it was up in the air at the time. I later posted a thread on the RS site for some infor (which went completly unanswered until this email last night)

I thought they had hired an events planner? If so, that person either dropped the ball, was not briefed that this event was supposed to happen, or they contemplated not doing it at some point. Perhaps it's just too many events all at once. RS renewals, new RS slots opening, Melange 3 allocaiton, BT release & party, etc.

Still, seems they could have planned this a bit more in advance, and sent an email on 11/1 that these were going on sale 11/14, for the end of the month 11/30 & 12/1 would have been my preference. All well.

Anyone know the specific rules on who can buy tickets? I share an RS account with a friend but its all his Name/info/CC - If he can't make it, can I still log in and buy the tickets with my own CC? Put my own info in the "shipping" section? I'm surprised I haven't run into this already, it's just worked out we've been able to go to the same events and he's picked up the tix.

Don't care if it's on a weeknight, I'll drive up from SD. I missed the BT Celebration, not missing this (especially since I'm not renewing the RS.)

Does this mean the Barrel Room tasting is not happening this year? Anyone know before we pull the trigger on tix?

Well this event IS the barrel aged beer tasting they do every year. But as for it being IN the barrel warehouse, info doesn't say where this will be, so not sure. However, I do recall Patrick saying at last year there were no plans on continuing to do them in the barrel room.

My guess at the, and this is pure speculation, is that perhaps it has to do with actualy serving alcohol at that site? Not sure if they got a licence for that, or if the one they have extended to the barrel room. I had hoped that was not the case, as the the space in the warehouse was awesome to be in.

Got my tickets at 10:01. Maybe it was overkill to be so on the dot with this one, but with the way their stuff sells out (and with the stuff I've missed in the past) I thought I should be sure. I'll be there 8-10 on Monday.
