I would sell my soul for a case of GM.

I made it through 7 tickets because I mostly stuck to the Black Tuesday variants. I was pretty blown away by Grey Monday and Griffon. That was a damn drinkable beer. Cheers to The Bruery. Also cheers to the Tamarindo truck. That al pastor torta was fucking delicious

Kind of bummed about White Oak Sap being available on Tuesday and not Monday, but I guess thems the breaks.

Everyone in our group would agree here........you didn't miss much. Apparently this batch was nowhere near as good as the one served up a few days earlier.

It was the same batch, perhaps even the same keg. Maybe White Oak Sap paired with food made it all that much better?

Twas a Spicy Meatball, err.... Torta. Coulda been. But, it was really interesting comparing the White Oak Sap to the White Chocolate. That alone was a really cool experience.

At the end of the evening......Choclate Rain 2010 to rule them all. If you're into that sorta thing.

Agreed...one of my top beers I tried during this thing. I also really really liked BA 2 Turtle Doves. The casks were meh but glad I got to try a beer straight out of a rum barrel. I think BA 4 Calling Birds has the potential to be awesome after a few years of aging like BA2TD. White Chocolate was good but friggin sweet as hell...it would take me a long time to finish a bottle by myself. And of course Grey Monday was amazing.

Cheers to Patrick for talking to a few Texans for a while and throwing a very nicely done event!

I thought the Choco 2010 drank rather poorly. But then I realized how cold I was drinking some of these heavy Bruery concoctions - had another CR b1 later that session and the choco, along with some of the secondary flavors came out very nicely.

Hazelnut scented Wax for the Grey Monday is a nice touch. Will be like an air freshner in my cellar.

I have to agree with you there. I had to pour this one out and was the only one that I didn't like. I only ended up using seven of my tasters. I wish I could have done three more, but you can't "pound" beers like BT, CR, and the likes. Rather savor than rush. (Although I'm kicking myself for not implementing the strategy imparted here - pouring it into an empty water glass, then going to get another taster). Dern.

Trying to figure out how much more BA 4 Calling Birds I want - I've heard a few positive things here and a fairly average review on the other site. Anyone else care to chime in?

I liked it. Spicy bourbon character, much better than the regular version.

Had it at the event. Just ok for me, I only ordered one bottle as a result, as I think one is already included, so 2 is just enough for me, but to each their own.

The Rum 5 Golden Rings was one of my favorites, actually. But from those I know who tried it, and the posts in this thread, I guess I'm in the minority.

You get 2 bottles of the BA version with membership, so you will be getting 3, just a heads up.

Right, so even better I only ordered 1 from the allocation, saved myself some coin there. For me personally, I also didn't order any Melange 3 this year. Still have 6 bottles from last year, when I got a case. Also, doing a side by side, twice of this years & lasts, our groups concensus was we all preferred the 2011 Melange 3.

Yea, I have to agree with you on that, I will probably grab 4 Melange3, just cause having 4 of a beer fits in my cellar well and works with my OCD, but nowhere near as much will be purchased as last year.

I hope that the M3 sits around at provisions for a few months like it did last year, need to get my melenge3 fix, just not sure if it is worth getting a case again.

I liked it too. I just wish it had more/some carbonation.
