Drumroll please..... Tonight The Bruery will release five single hopped IPA's on draft at the brewery. Their first ever IPA's. A long awaited moment for a California Hop Head such as myself. Your thoughts please?

I was joking a little. I'd like to stop in for a flight.

    Simcoe 5.7%, 45 IBU, 5.4 SRM
    Centennial 5.7%, 30 IBU, 4.0 SRM
    Citra 5.3%, 31 IBU, 4.3 SRM
    Chinook 5.2%, 22 IBU, 4.4 SRM
    Mosaic testing still TBD

Crazy i thought they were firm they would never do it. 5 years brewing is pretty darn long with out one. amazing they kept away from it that long, lets hope they are good!

Ha! Yeah now I get it. They still won't even give me a taste of the Sour in the Rye with kumquats. Sorry just can't afford the RS membership.

I'm not surprised they're doing an IPA for in-house release only. I'd be more surprised if they ever bottled an IPA.

Those don't like IPAs... they look more like PAs.

Fresh Hop Pale Ales. No way those are IPAs.

Still no IPA. The Humulus Wet Hop has always been a pale ale, the only difference this year is they are doing multiple single hop versions.

The clarification that this is just various Wet Hopped Humulus really confuses me. Humulus is a lager. They still didn't brew an IPA. What kind of desperate PR ploy is this blog and FB post? Does Bruery really need the attention so much that they had to lie about brewing IPAs instead of stating this is just their Wet Hopped Humulus, which they've had for a few years?

The announcement I got on my FB page says "Tyler has been really excited about this new project, which will ultimately let you enjoy five, single-hop, fresh hopped IPAs side-by-side (by-side-by-side-by-side). " I posted this blog cause I was excited about the idea of a Bruery IPA. Guess someone's gonna have to try these before we know for sure. It would be lame if it was just five different versions of the Humulus Wet.

Besides the Simcoe...you are correct. The IBU is too low on the others to classify them as an IPA.

I do has feels of excite to try all of them and glad they are playing with the idea of hopping up some beers, no matter the style.

The Tasting Room email lists them all as Humulus Wet variants. Bruery PR is just selling lies now. Kind of beneath them I think.

Calm down everyone, this is a typo from our marketing department, not a ploy to trick you. These beers are certainly not IPA's.
