I know you guys frown on asking WHERE to find beer, so I'm not going to ask that, but I'd just like to know if Bruery beers are available in the San Francisco area, especially some of their Barrel aged beers.

I know most of their barrel aged beers are for the different reserve societies, but do any make it to distribution?

Yes, they are sold in local spots. City Beer, Ales Unlimited, Healthy Spirits and others

For the most part it's just their distributed beers. Bois is probably the biggest barrel age you might find and possibly some tart of darkness and a a couple others.

Not sure of San Francisco, but a couple of South Bay spots sell some society beers. But they are marked up as you would expect they paid retail for them.

Oude Tart is in stores too. It's at the usual players.

Just going some light checking on Healthy Spirits' blog, other Bruery stuff we've seen in the bay area that's been in barrels or touched barrels: Loakal Red (for their 5th anniversary), White Oak, Sour in the Rye, Tart of Darkness, and Bois.

Nugget Markets (Sacramento) also infrequently has the rare barrel-aged ones.

I'm assuming you mean imperial loakal red?

Also where did you hear it was for the 5th anniversary?

IIRC they distributed loakal red outside of orange county sometime around may to celebrate their 5th anniversary. it was only a one time thing.

That does sound familiar, thanks for clarifying!

I think loakal red is available at Village Market in Ferry Building. Check it out.

I was at CBS on Thursday and they had bottles of both Oude Tart & Tart of Darkness.

Potrero WF has Bois. Plenty of it.
