Does anyone have a quick rundown of the years/brews that are susceptible to infection from the bruery? I got hit with a 5 golden rings that was bad awhile back and it's kind of a bummer when it happens. I've been offered black tuesday a few times in trades, but I'm a little gunshy after the previous infected bruery offering I had.

There have not been any widespread issues of BT '12 being infected. Maybe your bottle was an isolated instance, you're mistaking poor storage with infection, etc.

Infected White Chocolate opened and drain poured at a bottle share in London on Saturday.

Which is a bit of ball ache when it's been dragged 5,500 miles across land and sea.

Why do you believe the bottle was infected? Be specific.

I opened 3 bottles of Praecocia which showed no sign of infection and were not appreciably overcarbed. Weird. Definitely doesn't match up with most folks' descriptions of their bottles.

Now, Ebony and Oak? Cacaonut? Yeah, every single one of those I opened was a mess.

ive had black tuesday a couple times and have some in my possession right now that i plan to eventually drink because i think its a great beer. this bottle gushed everywhere when opened and continued to foam over for quite a while. the taste was bad. i got about an 8oz pour of it and didnt make it all the way through. it was tangy, similar to some bad peruvian morning ive had but not quite as bad. almost drinkable but not quite.

Yikes. "Infected Black Tuesday" is a horrible thing to ponder.

yeah, it was rough but i washed the bad taste from my mouth with a big glass of Mocha Wednesday so that made it all better.

I opened my Preservation bottle of Cacaonut last night, knowing the chances were high it would be infected....also knowing I only have until 3/31/14 to send an email to get a credit.

Opened the bottle and it didn't gush. Smelled the contents and it smelled like a sour mess. Had to try it and it tasted nothing like the description - it should've been sweet, but was an overpowering sour drainpour. I was really looking forward to it too. Hope they make it again so I can try it how it was meant to be.

I can take solace in the fact that I can use my credit for Rue D'Floyd or Grey Monday....

Did people get their credit yet? I had about 4-5 bottles that I was waiting for credit on, and haven't heard anything.

They are responding fairly quickly (<24hr) and they issue the credits in about 3-5days.

For those who claimed the credit, how good we're your pics of the batch codes? I can't seem to get a great pic since they are kind of faint, wondering if they will accept it.

Same here, but I took 3 pics and emailed them all 3. I made sure to get part of the Cacaonut label in just to show it was that bottle. I sent them the email and 4 hours later I got a reply. Just waiting on my credit code now.
