I want to first say what a great brewery you guys at the Bruery have. I've been a RS member for 2 years and recently signed up for the Hoarders Society. I just wanted to voice my displeasure with the Melange #3 Components Hoarders & Brewmasters Dinner scheduling. I will never be able to attend any events unless I have at least 2 weeks notice, that's just the way my employer handles vacation requests. I hope 10-12 days notice will not be a constant trend. Also, the timing of this first HS event is baffling. The weekend of thanksgiving, really?!? I can't speak for all, but I'm guessing that quite a few HS members share the same sentiment. I'm not posting to say that, "I'm so pissed, I'm never supporting your brewery", its more of a, "I really enjoy your beers. So much, that I've spent 1,000's of dollars in the past few years to support your operation. My "futures" I buy a year in advance should get me at least a 2 week notice on HS Events." I look forward to attending a few of these events if I can get enough notice to satisfy my employers policies on vacation requests.

    Thanks,

Loyal Bruery Supporter & Hoarders Society Member

Have you sent this messsage privately to user PMR on here? That probably wouldve been the best choice vs. ranting to us, seeing as he owns the Bruery.

    Cheers!

(I get why the rant though, Turkey day weekend is rough)

Pmr is on here and routinely weighs in on matters. I think its better to put in a forum, so theoretically only has to address it once, vs. a bunch of individual emails.

Id like to see bruery get on a repeating annual schedule, like how dld is the last sat in april, bistro dipa is 2nd sat in feb etc. . . Year in year out

Rough start as far as scheduling (i agree with the "WTF is up with these weekday events!", however they are doing a Hoarders event in 2012 and the memberships are for 2013. Hard to complain about it if you think that way.

I don't particularly care weekday vs. weekend. I'd just rather have 2 or more weeks notice so I can get vacation scheduled. I really like the idea of having annual events.

I apologize for the short notice and weekday events-- I agree it's not ideal, but it's what we had to do to have these events. We are working on identifying venues where we can have RS / Hoarder events in the future that can be at a convenient time and that logistically make sense for us.

    Cheers,

Problem with the RS (HS?) forum, at least if this year was any indication, was that after maybe April or May the community presence starts to trickle off, and the "official" presence is fairly non-existent. But yeah, they do exist. Fwiw.

BM me if you want my two tix for tonight. I got stuck in LA and won't be able to make it down in time. Maybe just exchange for some beers somewhere down the line.
