Can someone who has done this BRS club explain to me how it works and what is included in the price. I would like to be a part of this. Does the BRS get beers automatically with out ordering? Thanks
Your ~295 bones gets you the listed beers, bruery swag, discounts, invitations (not tickets!) to tastings, and first right of refusal to buy their newest releases, which can be (but not always) exclusive to reserve/hoarders members.
Doing the Preservation Society this year for the first time. Figured it was a good way to stick my toe in the pool to try it first without diving in.
As mentioned the website has the list of the beers included in the price. Those are usually very good and then members get first crack at some beers that are sold to the public as well as a few that are only made available to members. I've always found that if you really like what The Bruery does this is a way to make sure you get some of the limited releases.
I think you can just post in the Pacific forum that you're looking for a trustee. Someone should be able to help you there. I've seen some people post ISO:FT threads as well.
BA member blguillen is my trustee for my Preservation Society membership. He's a good dude and has been awesome to work with so far. May check to see if he's interested. http://beeradvocate.com/community/members/blguillen.593496/
I trustee for someone for a different brewery and that was set up through ISO threads. I pack, they pay shipping, and they send me a "gift" box of something like "tip" value (15%-20%). That said, I try to expand that into a trade as well to make the most of the shipping costs.
