Bruery RS/HS Allocations (2019)

Yeah thats pretty disappointing

 

Am I hallucinating? Reserve gets to buy only 1 Can of Wee Heavy, yet Preserve gets a full bottle included this quarter?

 

Limit four for HS on mocha wednesday has me extremely disappointed. that's my favorite all time bruery beer and after missing it last year I was hoping to go HAM

I don't buy a lot of random things anymore, but what I know I like, I stock the fuck up on.

 

No shit. Very disappointing that Preserve gets a full bottle of the Wee Coconut while Reserve gets (1) can! Small batch or not should be the other way around at least. Very disappointed in my renewing my membership at this point.

 

That is kinda strange.

 

I had to read that quantity four times hoping that was a 4pk. But one can? WTF?

And why does the email on January 24th, highlighting the first allocations of the year, show a 4pk of wee heavy?

 

May 4th based on the email that went out on Jan 7th. But I'm not sure how definite that date is.

Anyone have a link for where society info is posted? I'm not on facebook and couldn't find a current page from quick googling. Looks like most of their society-specific social media accounts were abandoned at various points last year.

Specifically am curious about the brewer panel at SMM today.

Looks like I missed the 2pm panel and don't plan to susti around till 6 for the next one.

There's some old merch at decent prices here at Terreux - RS/HS caps for $5, old leisure bags (2016?), Growler bags, etc

They also have someone selling vanilla ice cream scoops to bond with mocha Wednesday.

And I always forget how crazy busy the first few SMMs are each year!

 

Damn wish i could Make it, would’ve snagged a leisure bag.

 

Okay fine, I'll start the grumble-fest... I do NOT like that ALL allocations are now first-come first-served instead of being guaranteed. Maybe it won't turn out to be an issue, but I really valued the peace of mind knowing I didn't have to rush when the clock struck 10.

The trade-off seems to be allocation windows that run all month, which I know a lot of people have been asking for... problem is, what good is a month long window if the beer runs out before you get there? (again, pro-active grumble here, won't be angry until if and when I actually miss a beer I want).

If they properly limit the initial allocation amounts correctly then this could actually lead to more second-chance sales later in the year, which would be a good thing for beers that were one-and-done in the past, so I guess we'll see.

 

I still can’t figure out how Reserve is only getting a single Wee Heavy Coconuts can when Preservation gets a bottle. Not off to a great start here.

 

Didn’t SHIT coffee cans come out before the bottles? Shouldn’t jump the gun until later in the month as more things come available like past months.

 

Agree. It should just be Hoarders only if the limits are that small.

PS, if any RS peeps are mad you could try to join PS for a quarter to get a bottle if it still works that way.

FOMO won't be a problem for the most part. I don't plan on totally stopping, just cutting back. In other news, that allocation limit on MW is horse hockey.
