While the majority of Bruery beers do age pretty well, I've developed the opinion that I prefer SHIT more when it's closer to fresh (I can't claim this to be objectively true, it's just my preference). That said, you could sit on them a year without batting an eye, maybe two years.

The extra wildcard is that the jury is out on how Bruery cans do vs bottles since the canning is fairly new.

Bruery is always expanding distro, and I think the format and pricing on these fancy cans is helping them finally break into markets that perhaps could have gotten them in the past but chose not to. My prediction is that their can format is here to stay... But I'm sure individual stores will be the ones to decide whether they stock more in future depending on how well they sell. If you see them languishing on the shelf, good chance the store won't order more next time.

Regular SHIT is released every year (this was first time canned), but they've also been doing a canned variant every six months or so.

    Happy beveraging!

I've generally stayed away from the Bruery because of the high price tag combined with large format and high ABV. Pint cans of big stouts at 12-14$ though are something that I could see picking up a case a year of. Hope they stay around, I'll probably grab 2 or 3 more of this drop to sock away to see how it ages and hope we see more in the future.
Also have seen some Vermont sticky Maple on shelves but overly sweet is one of my biggest issues with bruery so I've stayed clear of that one so far

For sure. A lot of their more expensive stuff really is best split amongst a gathering of friends... Though a pro tip on the large bottles at 15+%: if you get a champagne stopper you can split them over two nights.

If you live in CA you can also order from their website. Probably a larger selection than your local shop (majority of their beers are not actually distributed). They'll also have archive beers on sale Cyber Monday, as well as the two weeks leading up to Christmas, which might make it feasible to fill a shipping box and treat yo self.

Of course, then you're only a step away from joining one of their societies like all us assholes. Then you're really done for:wink:

How often do Bruery cans have snot in them? I got a Bakery can awhile back and I drank some beer snot without realizing it and it was incredibly off-putting and made me not want to buy any more.

I’ve never had one from the Bruery. Last time that happened to me was BA mocha machine

Just opened my last bottle of M3. I’m really hoping it gets released again next year.

I agree that it is incredibly off-putting when it happens! Have been in the Societies for several years. I have only run into that a couple times over the many Bruery bottles I have drank over the years. Definitely higher risk when there are lots of heavy adjuncts, in my experience. I have run into it more with some other breweries than with Bruery.

Yes, that BT Banana Pudding is really something else, isn't it? For me it was the unexpected hit of the BT Release Party. Hope it gets bottled/canned in the near future!

Can't say I've won that lottery yet. Did on a bottle of last year's DSN this weekend but, never anything from the Bruery.

I haven't tried WCW yet but, with respect to Blueberry pancakes BT and muffin stuffin I disagree. They don't really even have the same ingredients other than blueberries. The pancakes tuesday is to me, a superior brew.

I got two packs of muffin stuffin and at least half of my cans have been spicy, cinnamon-y, hot messes.

I would however like to know what the "natural flavors" are that are in BT pancakes. Natural flavors these days mean anything from essential oils to possum anus glands soooo.....

Possum Anus glands, huh? Sounds like a good ingredient for the Saturday variant! We can call it Slept-In Saturday: Black Tuesday with Possum Anus, which makes it taste like apple pie.

Slept-In Saturday: Wow! Tastes like Possum Anus glands. Disgusting aroma and I can barely finish this taster... still rock solid and will kill with age. 9/10.

Actually, I was wrong, it's beaver not possum lol. Still plenty of other seemingly disgusting things used for natural flavors. I doubt the Bruery uses any of that but, definitely makes me think whenever I see the term natural flavors being used.

Absolutely stellar beer. Thinner than I remember, and very sweet - total beetus bomb. Loads of rye whiskey and caramels. Quite sessionable.

Today's limits raise makes me think a few of those beers weren't as close to selling out as we thought.
Related: I really wanted to like Brycescotti, but it had a somewhat weird flavor when I had a taster a few weeks back. Almost like a burnt almond, more than toasted. Didn't ruin the beer, but I didn't experience the ecstasy that others had.
To be fair, it was one of the last few tasters from the final keg so that may have contributed. (When I was settling my tab, a guy next to me ordered it but it had just kicked)

Unless they’re setting limits relatively low to start, to ensure that everyone gets a chance to get one, but to go from 1 WCW initiallly to 4, that makes me think twice about my statement

Had an incident this morning. As I was consolidating, I removed the retaining plastic piece off the last two cans of Frucht: Blackberry and one of the cans exploded. Note the can liner. Shit went everywhere. Really spoiled my morning ahead of a 100 mile drive.
