New Instagram post about it. Mikerphone version used Portola coffee, Bruery uses coffee from a Chicago roaster.

Ok thanks. I think I'll have to hold on on trying a bottle until I get a few cans of the other to do a side by side! I wonder if they would let me do that at the Terreux maybe on the patio with a few others since I have 2 big bottles..

Has anyone noticed the price increase at the TR?$6 for a taster of Mocha Wednesday in addition to other .25-$1 increase in others

Looks like we can dig up the ol' Bruery tasters price debate again!! I seem to recall someone doing the math and had something to do with oz. versus abv.? Anyone have the latest list of prices?

How many oz are in their tasters again? Like 4oz?

The increase of $1 or less seems reasonable, when they increased prices a couple years ago it was like double or triple the price. Looking back I think that was the moment I stopped buying a lot of Bruery beers. I only went back to the tasting room once or twice because I didn’t want to spend $30 or more every visit. If they had only increased prices by $1 or less then I probably would still be spending money there. Instead I only bought a few bottles (mostly 375’s or cans) on a friends membership last year.
It also seems odd that the Bruery use to be a very innovative brewery and now they seem very basic and slow to react to the market (cans, 375’s, pretty basic stouts, hazy ipas).

I completely understand/would support a .25-.50 increase in most tasters, but they raised all of their $2 tasters by a whole buck and DOUBLED the price of their Weekday beers... that’s absolutely absurd and would quickly keep me from being a regular. If I still lived in the area, I’d be making a huge stink about this! Not gonna lie, I’ve been a huge Bruery apologist, but stuff like this combined with some of the other issues recently (very random availability of allocation tastings, end of guaranteed allocations, and offshoots obsession with hazies) are starting to test my loyalty. What makes up for it has been the amazing staff, and the Hoarders boxes.

But again... hell no to a $6 taster that was $3 last week!!!

So does this mean a "full" pour of a high-ABV Weekday beer is going to cost around $15?

Yeah, per the website you can get a 10oz pour of something below a certain ABV for $8, while the higher ABV seem to be limited to 5oz (which is $10 on the website taplist)

This batch of Mocha Wed is definitely the best as far as I remember. But that $6 taster price hurts.

So while we are all complaining about pricing, I walked away with a 32oz Growler of Melange Noir for $18.96.

    Just saying

We should all buy growlers, that truly is the best value, but man sometimes it's cool to get some tasters and pours at a reasonable price.

personally i am not bothered by $6 taster prices of BT variants. that shit is 20% abv. a taster is basically a full drink.

Wouldn’t $6 for a 5 oz taster be close to the same price per ounce as the bottle price? I would expect the taster price to be significantly higher per ounce than the bottle price.

I actually preferred the $3/1.5 ounce taster. A full taster is 3oz, which is a lot of booze when it’s 20% abv. Again, I get raising the prices a little, but going from $3 to $6 is steep. But the growler prices are super reasonable for MW, so maybe I’ll just skip the taster.

And thus is born the "32oz Taster" - marketing innovation in action!

The pricing looks to be $10 for 5oz draft pour...
The $6 is for a taster of the higher ABV stuff.
