See that makes actual sense. Also nice that people will be able to pick up from both locations.

So, latest email confirms the anniversary party will be on May 23, located at Oak Canyon Park, which is right next to Irvine Lake. This is a nice, wide open area with big hills all around. Freeway close of you don’t mind getting on the toll road, and driving after the party. Not really Uber/Lyft close, which the one at the Phoenix Club was. Probably park at the end of Chapman and Uber from there. I will miss walking to the Phoenix Club from less than a mile away, but I’m a little bit excited about it being at a new place,

My old company had a picnic there once a long time ago. The only thing I really remember about it was someone getting stung bY a wash that had flown into their soda! :astonished:

Thanks for responding Daniel. Sorry if I seemed a little surly mentioning your corporate overlords.

Barry is a nice guy. He emailed me a couple of times after the Black Tuesday party. True story.

The location does seem pretty public transit unfriendly, as well as, zero hotels in walking distance. Would be nice if they offered some kind of shuttle, like they do at FWIBF.

Ubering to/from the festival just got a lot more expensive for me

I really appreciate hearing this Daniel. I think that rumor unsettled quite a lot of us (or at least me), but these changes actually sound like awesome improvements! It also sounds like a better use of resources.

    Cheers!

Seems... even steeper than the WC version and I thought that was steep. The wording makes it sound like the flight is... flight pours. I am not saying I want to guzzle imperial stouts for 2hrs to get my monies worth but... 1 IPA and a flight with some bites for $75 is aggressive. Oh well luckily I like drinking beers at my house :relaxed:

Good point. I assume we are going back 1 hour early entry for HS, and 4 hours for RS. After all if I remember correctly, the recent year's time reduction was due to The Phoenix Club (which was a great location IMO). So with a new venue hopefully we are back to old, much enjoyed, rules.

It's a large place but unfortunately remote for where it's located. I'm really hoping that there's a bit more food options and longer hours since it's a much larger venue.

No promises, but 12 pm - 5 pm is our current plan and we're working on options for transportation (rhymes with huddle). This is going to be a big one, Black Tuesday style. Any feedback on all of this is much appreciated.

Great timing (12-5), would definitely recommend extra food and drink options (pay options) outside of what the tickets give.
