Maybe you're recalling the old Vindictive 2 bottles in the archive sale?

What I got from the virtual happy hour was that Still Vindictive got delayed by a label issue and it'll be ready in like a weekish. The bottles they had looked like they didn't have labels and no one was holding them up to the camera. Also, Chocolate Reign (2020) was kind of hinted to being Chocolate Reign (2021).

RE- Cans for Chocolate Rain. They said this batch of Chocolate Rain is not as large as it usually is so they didn't do any cans, but if people like the can format to definitely let them know

I opened up a couple of the new beers last night
Chocolate Rain - They were not lying when they said it was probably the best Chocolate Rain they've done. Extra chocolately and good to go on release. Hard to tell it's one of the 19%ers. Saved the 2nd half of the bottle for tonight. Will probably be maxing out on this

Three's Company - Wow this beer is impressive. Super coconutty and creamy and just flat out delicious. They really did good with this one and probably one of my favorite non barrel aged stouts. Going to open another one tomorrow and order another 4 pack.

I'll say it again they've been doing great with the beers all year and the release calender keeps getting better.

I love how the "newer" members complain about not having cans (which exist for high abv weekday beers just not for Choco Rain this edition). Now wanting 8 oz cans? ridiculous. Take your 16 oz can and be lucky you get that. Canning lines and everything would need to be changed to some rarely used small 8 oz can size. On top of that another sensitive topic of price per ounce will come up again because I am sure that an 8 oz can would warrant a higher price. We have been dealing with high abv. in the 750ml bottles for years and finally get cans. Go big or go home!

Hold on.... was the Still Vidictive label held up because they really did include an extra c in VinCdictive? Did I unwittingly stumble upon a major label approval scandal?

I always knew those years of completing the “Spot the Difference” puzzles in Highlights would pay off some day!

Could be. I just remember someone, either here or in the email updates, talking about Still. But it wasn't about it being delayed.

Highlights! I haven’t thought about that magazine in over 30 years! Some real nostalgia right there haha.

Elevage sounds really interesting. I rarely buy sours but I had to get this one out of curiosity. Anyone tried it yet?

Patrick is doing 8oz cans for small batch wine in his new winery. Terreux has canned 12oz slim cans for Brite. I think canning technology moves faster than you think it does. Let us know if the cloud yells back at you after you solo that 750:wink:

I’m not sure if you’re trying to call me out in this post, but I’ve been in RS since ‘09, and yes I’m happy whenever they put their stouts in 16oz cans.

Agreed, 16oz cans are great. It just seems that the general population wants more options than that. We waited for yearsss for cans, just appreciating what we have, that's all.

I just think it’s ironic how long people were begging for 375s, and as soon as they finally switched, the whole industry shifted to cans. At least they were smart and followed suit.

Tried this years Chocolate Rain, this is already amazing fresh. A lot more vanilla (not a vanilla bomb either) then previous. It was an easy max for me. Did not taste 19%,

Three's Company was really good. It was the tables favorite. Finally a stout from them that you can taste the coconut.

If memory serves, that one was only done twice and it hasn’t come out in a few years.

Looking back on the original label I realize it was probably before they decided to make the “Balls” series all riffs off of Blue BBLs as opposed to just ball jokes.

    I still prefer the 375mls, they're $15-25 (rather than $30-50)

AND you can drink half, and then put a champagne stopper in, and it's still carbed 2-3 days later, and gives a preview of what aging it might do.

Cans, you have to drink then all in one shot - no not one chug but you know what I mean.
