I don't see alot of these traded here, is that because people don't like them or because they nobody offers them. If they trade what does it take to get them? I know there is quite a variety, just putting out feelers. Looking to trade not receive.
Good question - I do find it very interesting that even the best Bruery sours don't get anywhere near the attention of the mediocre sours from many smaller breweries. Stuff like Melange 9, SitR with Kumquats or Peaches, Befuddlement, etc, are among the best beers I've had this year. Perhaps it's just that so many people get them through clubs the market is reduced. I'm sure someone will say it's the price point but that doesn't really hold water for me when people are trading multiples of dollar value for beers rated no higher or marginally higher than Oude Tart with Cherries, Befuddlement, SitR with Peaches. There's also this meme that "all the Bruery sours taste the same" which is easily dispelled by actually trying SitR and Oude Tart side by side.
I think with most Bruery beers the main word is accessibility, many people have access to them so there's no need to truly put in effort to seek them out. And if people do trade for them it usually as a mean to expand.
