Has anyone tried this yet? Would love to hear thoughts on this one.

I am not a RS member (PS only) and am really hoping it becomes available to the public

Tried it on Tuesday. It's a fun novelty, but not much more -- the base beer doesn't have the body needed. The one thing I'm reasonably sure of is that this is not a beer to age.

It might be good. I wouldn't know for sure. Somebody opened up a super warm ass bottle last night, and you just don't drink beer that warm.

had it on tap last night at the TR and I thought it was spot on.

Opened up a bottle with my labmates yesterday, not super impressed, nor was anyone else. It is going to be hard to go through the rest of these bottles.

I am going to try and make a cocktail out of the rest of the bottles I have. Maybe some half & half for the lacking body and a little rum?

I was blown away and thought it was incredible. But it is probably a love it or hate it brew. I liked its lighter body with the intense vanilla creaminess. It was a wonderfully refreshing, very drinkable summer brew. Definitely a "drink now" beer though. No way this ages well. I'm maxing my allocation.

Up to you, but for me, I maxed my allocation. If you like French Toast, or Cinnamon Toast, or Orchata, you should at least like this. Personally, I loved it. Great summer beer, tastes of vanilla, cinamon, toasted biscuit, and is refreshing as well. Also for the price point, its one of the cheapest allocations of the year.

I would gladly take anyone's unwanted at cost. I thought it was a great novelty and I can agree with others that it probably won't age well. But this is one, much like Run B.MC. that I thought was amazing for the bruery at a relatively cheap price.

Interesting and while it took a little bit to have all the pieces fall into place, the Horchata taste lands in there and is solid.

Or Xata definitely tastes like horchata, but the taste of the base blonde ale is distracting. I find it to have a wet towel flavor, and I don't like the taste of wet towels--unless of course they are aged a minimum of three years.

It's decent but not that great. Good one and done beer.

Came in here to post these very words. Drinking my solo bottle now.

Edit: more I drink the less I like. Just poured the rest into my wife's glass.

Just ordered one of these via my friend who is in the RS. I fucking love horchata, so I am super excited about this beer. I was actually more excited about this beer than Bois, and I love their anniversary beers. Glad to see that it's getting mostly positive reactions here.

Well, it is a blonde ale. I don't think they're known for their body.

Which suggests they shouldn't have used a blonde as the base. White Oak Sap could have worked nicely.

Got a bottle from a friend who is an RS member. He said it was a drain pour, but (after trying it) I spiced it up with some rumchata and fireball. It was damn good.
the point of this... Bruery needs to add a lil sumptin to this to make it a B+ beer.
