For any crowdfunders on here, do we know what the "Captain O'Connor" beer is? I'm not sure I'm going to get down to Dansaert for any of the annual meetings. As long as I'm here, this can be a general BBP thread, for anyone keeping an eye on them. More of local interest than whale-hunting, I know, but...
And as long as I'm asking, anyone recall what last year's 'crowdfunder' special was? I have one bottle with the label pictured, but can't find where I wrote down what it is! I suppose I just need to open it and figure it out, but if anyone knows...
The new jungle joy beer blew my mind, such a delicious smell and flavor! They did a NEIPA a while ago which was rather disappointing to me, usually a hit or miss formula. I hate the fact that they release some killer limited beers which I love and never get to buy again...but they keep selling the same classics all over the place
They're not uniformly bad and have been a gateway drug for quite a few people I know. I think we need them to succeed for the sake of Brussels. They are having some impact here so need them to make a positive contribution. But my immediate mystery is identifying the above beer. It gets opened tonight one way or the other.
Mystery solved: it was obvious immediately upon uncapping that it was the barrel-aged barley wine, Leviathan. And wow, that was... struggling to be polite... failing... if you don't have anything nice to say... Well, I'm glad we had this time together.
